What can I say. I found the hotel online and called them a couple of hours away to secure a room for my wife and myself for the night. On the phone the fellow was friendly and helpful.

I should have caught a clue when he said "Walk up the sidewalk 20 yards to the cafe to get checked in, not at the hotel itself". 

We pulled in to the empty parking lot, looked around and said "Should we?". Well, we did go next door to the cafe to check in. The fellow behind the counter was outgoing and friendly. But the cafe... wow. The counter area was cluttered and dirty, as in dusty with papers and misc computer parts laying around. At this point we should have figured it was not our type of hotel. The price was only about $10 less than the nearby Americas Best motel. But we are the adventurous type and decided it may be fun to stay here.

We paid for the room, got the key and instructions on how it all works and we walked back to the room. When we opened the door we were hit with an odor. Not sure what it was. Not mold, maybe a mildew? Whatever it was, we almost went back for a refund. 

But we didn't because after a few minutes we didn't notice it, I suppose our noses got used to it. I checked under the beds, between the mattresses and box springs, in all the drawers, everywhere. I did not find the source of the odor. The bedding was clean, the sheets and everything smelled clean, looked clean and crisp and the pillows were the same. The carpet looked clean. So I don't know.

We had 2 queen beds in our room. Both were worn with low spots in the middle so we rolled in. They were a bit less than comfortable. So if you require a firm mattress for a good nights sleep this is probably not the place for you regardless of price. 

The temp outside got down into the teens overnight, but the room heater worked well and kept the room plenty warm.

If not for the initial odor and the swayback beds I would have rated it average in most categories. But I cannot. It is what we consider a Poor hotel. Not Terrible. But we cannot recommend it unless you are in Snowflake and there are no other options available.

Below Average facility, friendly service...

This is a small place on the main road and looks like it needs a real good cleaning and sanitization.  Hard to find the "office" and it is packed with junk.  I highly recommend avoiding this place. If you want cheap for a one nighter maybe it will do.

Unclean small motel

We had booked ahead of time. Got there and the place was terrible. The photo looked nice. But furniture, mattresses, etc were  piled up at front of office— couldn’t get into office. Parking area had junk in it. Room looked ok —  not great, but ok. Smell of dead animal or gas leak prompted us to leave. Lady was gracious and didn’t charge us. We expected better in Snowflake.

We left!

Our room was filthy dirty. You could feel the springs coming through on the bed. The carpet was so filthy dirty & stained. The walls had little children's stickers all over it. We only stayed there one night because it was late and paid for, we cancelled the next night stay. The chair was stained. The air conditioner was filled with dirt and crud. It smelled awful. Fortunately I had brought air freshener with me. It helped for a few hours. I would never stay there again, nor can I recommend it.

Anywhere else but this hotel

The motel is old, awkward, but remolded well enough to deserve $40-$50 per night, however the management are entirely rude, unprofessional, insulting and those are mild.  Absolutely would discourage any traveler from staying here largely due to the owner/manager.  
P.S.
the maid service consisted of throwing the comforter over the rumpled sheets, no cleaning was actually performed.  I almost laughed, but since I really anticipated proper maid service I just became more frustrated with this motel experience.

Traveler Beware!!

We reserved a room for 2 nights but when I went in the room before registering there was a dead roach. The owners gave us a refund which was nice. However, we had to go an extra 50 miles to Holbrook for a room. Use caution.. a real sad place.
