This was a nice and comfortable stay.  The breakfast was great variety and a nice treat.

Fantastic lobby filled with amazing western art & decor. Loved the best breakfast we've ever had at a hotel! Friendly staff & comfortable well furnished room.  Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub & incredible statures, flowers, and antiques in garden patio areas.  Highly recommend this beautiful place!

The manager Kathy was the best ! Friendly and knowledgable regarding activites /restaurants in town. The whole hotel, from the lobby, to the rooms, to the sweet outside spaces, exceptionally clean and well cared for!I will stay there again.

Second time here, as good as the first.Exceptional.We pulled into town 15m ahead of schedule and wanted to unload car before heading out to downtown area.Only hitch, they couldn't oblige being 15m before check-inn. Understandable, room was just being finished when we came back 30m later.

Sweet base camp for weekend adventures. Super clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast.

The hotel was so nice. Slept well, ate well and the mountain views were very nice. Enjoyed the stay and you won't be disappointed if you stay here!

This property is simply a hidden gem. Clean, safe, cute and cozy - loved the hot tub and rooms. Breakfast was as to be expected. I’d def stay here again, my only regret is that this property does not have river access as its pictures show. Not the end of the world, but def not accurate - still a nice slice of heaven here in Salida.

We enjoyed our stay. Mark and his family (owners) are so cordial and accommodating. We arrived early and he was gracious enough to allow us to use a room to change into our ski clothes. The continental breakfast offers so many food choices. We also had a lovely view of the mountains from our window. Highly recommend!

Great stay!

Adorable and quaint place to stay! The rustic decor is beautiful! Owner was friendly and very accommodating to your needs. (Love his accent!) The breakfast was wonderful with a lot of choices of food and drinks. Rooms were cozy and very clean. The mountain view room was worth the little extra! Will definitely return!

Right on the main drag through Salida so convenient. Room was nice. We heard our neighbors a bit more than in some hotels but it was a weekend. Not set up for convenient phone charging (USB and a multitude of power plugs). Nice lobby ambiance. Breakfast area was small but you could always go back to your room.

I've stayed here 5 or 6 times and it has become one of my favorite places to stay!  Service is usually great, and I one of the owners is usually downstairs in the breakfast area during that time and talks to the guests--and he cleans up and restocks regularly.  It's clean, affordable, and has a nice little outdoor hot tub.

Great local hotel!

Great spot for a short stay in Salida!  Room was exceptionally well appointed with two comfy chairs and a desk with chair as well.  Queen bed seemed newish and was super-comfortable. Spotless throughout. Breakfast was good with continental and frozen food options for warm up, though no hot eggs, bacon, etc.

Great, comfy, super-clean spot in Salida

This is a nice, small family owned hotel.  It is small but met our needs well (a couple, no kids).  Bed was comfortable, room was clean, bathroom is very small but shower had great pressure.  Breakfast was basic continental (toast, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit) but  there were breakfast sandwiches that could  be microwaved in room.  Plenty of coffee !  There was a large family staying and it was a little noisy with people moving between rooms but they quieted down at a reasonable time and there was no noise during the night.  We were on the back side of hotel and we did not hear traffic from nearby road.  This was a great stay for a quick trip to Salida. Highly recommend!

Stayed here for a quick trip to Salida (from Missouri). What a gem!  Small hotel with a 'lodge' vibe. Clean, comfortable bed,  rain shower with excellent water pressure. Nice continental breakfast (toast , bagels, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal) with breakfast sandwiches that can be microwaved in room. Lots of coffee, with option of a real mug ( this is nice for those of us who dislike paper cups). Owner was very accommodating. We were on backside ( front side faces road) and heard no traffic. Only negative -could hear other guests moving between rooms, talking loudly. This was a large multi-room family -but they settled down at a reasonable hour and I heard no noise throughout night. Highly recommend!

Great family owned hotel

We are traveling cross county on a motorcycle and finding quirky, non traditional places to spend 10 hours is a bonus.

Lodge motif, cozy, loaded with eclectic art and outdoorsy flair... Brown's Canyon Inn is clean, the beds are comfy and the shower pressure is amazing. The owners 
are super friendly and eager to talk with visitors about Salida and beyond.

Staying at Brown's Canyon Inn has been one of the highlights of our trip

Sweet spot!

We were just passing through Salida for the night and this place was recommended to us by another hotel that was full. We're glad we listened.  Clean rooms and comfortable bed.  The breakfast was good, fruit super fresh.   The staff was really nice and helpful.  Close to downtown.   Great stay and would definitely return.
