We have stayed at many Americas Best Value Inn & suites   around the country and found this one to be the best we've ever stayed at. It is very clean. The bed was very comfortable. When checking out on Sunday we found that the desk person, Mary and Eloy was extremely Courteous, friendly and helpful they went far beyond the normal to help us with directions to a place that we were unsure of how to get to. Hotels need more employees like Mary and Eloy. My wife and I agree that this Americas best value inn will be our go to place whenever we are traveling around Houston

Excellent hotel, clean and well furnished. Staff very good. Continental breakfast was satisfactory. Will stay there again if room needed. Glad air conditioning worked great. Thank goodness for that.. Room maids were very good. Plus they were pet friendly. A lot of eating establishments within a 1 mile radius. Plus right off the freeway for easy access on and off Hwy. 99
      
      
      
      

Front desk was very nice.  Our smoke alarm was beeping when we got there so I went up front to let them know.  I think maintenance beat be back to the room they were so fast. The room could have been cleaner but the beds were clean and very comfortable.   Drains in sink and tub were very slow. Cracks in the plaster on walls.  Painted different colors on patched areas. But in general, we'd come back again.

Very Clean

Selma Best  Western Hotel

We arrived early to check in, room was not ready yet. Personnel was very nice and courteous. However they were very unprofessional and everyone was dressed in pjs when we arrived. They ended up giving us the only room that they had "ready and cleaned." As soon as we walked into the room the smell of cigarette smoke hit us! Our sheets, pillows were all smelly. We could tell they had not cleaned the place. The bath tub was dirty and stained. I asked the manager if we could get new sheets and towels because the ones in the room were smelly. His response was, "no ma'am those sheets are clean." I stood there and asked again until he agreed to give us the sheets and towels and was nice enough to change them for us. THEY DO NOT HAVE BREAKFAST! Although it says on here they offer breakfast, all they have is cereal! No fruits, no muffins, nothing else. We ended up going to Denny's across the street. Overall service was good but the hotel itself was not what we expected. If you have $10 more dollars to spend on a hotel I would recommend stay somewhere else and get the services you actually pay for.

Not as advertised!!

We travelled 20 times or more to the USA and had only one more bad experience with motels. We have reserved a non-smoking king size room for one night. The 1st room had 2 king size beds but was full of smoke-smell, like somebody had smoked a minute ago with closed windows. Next room with two queen size: exactly the same. Next room with to queen size: exactly the same. Next room with two queen size: a strange smell, not identifiable. We accepted unfortunately this room hoping the smell goes away with an open door for a few minutes. But during the night, smell rises up more and more. At the end we leave the motel a 3:30 in the morning.
America Best Value? Never, never, never again. This motel is a shame for the owner and for ABV.
