Very pleased with the spotless room. Convenient walk to a nearby diner. Staff was most helpful.

We enjoyed our time spent in our room. Clean, nicely decorated and when asked the staff provided me extra coffee.

It Was easy to get to, and pennies diner was very convenient.

Nothing memorable, nothing bad.  A comfortable room while on business.

What a wonderful place. The check in was fast and efficient. As I unloaded my luggage, I noticed a chicken wandering about the entry door to the annex building. It was comically quaint. Inside the building, the smell was fresh and clean, and the carpet was clean and stainless. The room was well appointed and again, smelled fresh and clean. Everything worked as it should, and the building was quiet.  It was a very nice stay.

We stayed here on our way through to Missouri.  Booked room on day of stay and staff was able to meet our request of top floor room!  Staff was very nice.  Room was clean and quiet.  The train did blow its whistle but it did not wake us up.  Bed was comfortable.  No free breakfast available but there is a diner right next to the hotel and Scottsbluff is right down the road.  We would stay here again.

Stayed here about 4 years ago and had a good experience so stayed again while passing through the area.  The rooms are clean and the property is well maintained.  Quick and easy check-in.  Away from everything, so a drive may be in order if looking for fine dining.  An interesting point, "The Big Smoke," took place just west of here in 1851.  Although relegated to just 4 historical placards on the north side of the road, it's also worth a visit.

On the border

The place looks a little rundown. Are the inside of the rooms are fine. There was a big sticky spot on the carpet under the sink so every time I step there I stuck to the carpet. When I checked the bed out, there was a red crusty stain on the mattress pad otherwise the room was fine. It had a nice comfy chair and ottoman for a comfortable place to sit. Some extra amenities like shampoo and body wash were included all in all very acceptable motel for the price I would stay there again.

An OK place.

It was nice, when we checked in the only problem we had was one room wasn't cleaned, but they got too it as soon as they knew and it was done right up. Definitely would stay there again.The diner that's right in front (Penny's diner) was decent too. The people were friendly, a little forgetful when it came to getting refills for the soda but they were on top of refilling our coffees

"Penny's Cafe" was a joke.  One of the workers cussed like a sailor the entire time we were there.  Another guy did everything; he was the waiter, cook, and cashier. The front desk gal at the hotel was very friendly and helpful.  She was apparently related to the people running the cafe because she came over there while we were waiting for our food.

This was an exceptionally clean room! Usually when I am staying at a motel, even ones that are rated highly for cleanliness, I usually see dead beetles, dust bunnies and crumbs along the edges of the wall where it meets the floor. That wasn't the case here! I was in two different rooms here (different nights), and they were both really clean!  The bed was firm and comfortable and the front desk people were helpful. For food there is an associated diner out front which is open 24/7. I had dinner there, it was nothing to write home about, but it was adequate and open.  The "open" part gets high marks from me, as so often in small towns there is nowhere to eat if you pull in late. Oddly, though, you can only see a menu at the diner by scanning a QR code on your phone.  If you don't have a smart phone or cell service, I'm not sure how you would see a menu. I would absolutely stay at this Travelodge again.

We stayed at this Travelodge because it was close to where my daughter was playing softball in Gering. The price was awesome, front desk attendant was super kind and courteous, the overall stay was great. The diner just a few steps away in front was a nice atmosphere to enjoy a family breakfast and the folks working were extremely nice. No complaints, it was a great stay!

Small but Cozy

I do not normally give budget hotels 5 stars because face it, there are usually reasons they are budget hotels. We took a chance and stayed in this one because there were no rooms at the hotel we would normally stay.  At arrival I was pleasantly surprised to see Caleb at the front desk wearing a mask. He was exceptionally nice and very helpful. The room was entered from the outside which we really appreciated because other guests were not wearing mask. Our room was spotless and the beds while firm were comfortable.  I do not know why some of the reviews mention breakfast because there is none but you can order from the restaurant in front of the hotel online and pick up. If all budget hotels were like this one I would utilize them more often because sometimes you just need a room!

A hidden bargain!

We also stayed las year so we stayed here again rather than in Scottsbluff.  Very friendly check-in guy.  I asked if the room was on the first floor.  He said 'no', the king rooms  were all on the second floor.  We were tired of lugging Tkewife's heavy bag up stairs.  So we changed to double queen beds on the first floor.  Room was fine, nice and clean.

We couldn't figure out the Satellite TV, so I got the desk clerk to come and show how it works. No problem and I was able to watch the  Tour de France the next morning on NBCSN.
