Arran Guest House

We stayed here Friday & Saturday prior to attending the Ride London 2019. The Guest house is basically two houses that have been refurbished into one, it is in a quite a busy neighbourhood the majority of houses on the street are guest houses. The room a suitable size with a double bed and a single bed, this is definitely a cheap place to stay and trust me that is not a bad thing, especially if your working within a budget. Although the bed was quiet solid as in the mattress but that could be just me, the pillow again was quiet solid I tried everything to fluff the pillow it definitely did not work. Although I have to admit the security is definitely first class as there is at least 10 CCTV outside and two guys tried to break into our car and the receptionist was out there giving them grief so definitely can’t complain there. This guest house has free WiFi and the WiFi works well so that is a bonus, breakfast was extremely nice a good british fry up lovely and they were extremely friendly and the eating area was spacious and clean. The only issue I had was the shower, I thought the showers were broken until I realised that the power switch to turn on the shower is not in the bathroom but outside in the corridor, so in theory if you were in the shower getting wet and then lathering up and then someone turns the switch off so low and behold you must go outside into the corridor soaking wet to turn it back on! I know, I know who would do that but let’s be honest there is always someone stupid enough to flick the switch. One final note there is a nice little pub just nearby called JONOs which I highly recommend.
