The Fielding Hotel

My wife and I spent six nights at The Fielding and were very pleased with the location, the accommodations, and the staff. We specifically chose a hotel in Covent Garden because it was central to many of the sites we intended to visit and allowed us to keep our use of public transportation to a minimum. Because the neighborhood is very popular, there were always people on the street, which made us feel safe. In addition, we found a very pleasant cafe-- one of the chain of Caffe Neros in the city--nearby and had our breakfast there every morning. We were given a first floor room that more than met our needs (and saved us from lugging our bags up the narrow stairs). It was both charming and comfortable. (My wife particularly liked comfort of the bed.) Being that it was April, we were also pleased that we had plenty of heat in the room. Though we were blessed by largely excellent weather while in town, with warm and mostly sunny days, the evenings would get cool and the last thing you'd want would be to return to a chilly room. The staff were very friendly and Sajaad, the hotel's general manager, was very helpful in making recommendations and answering any questions we might have. We look forward to returning to The Fielding on our next trip to London.
