Chimbote is a typical rough port town so this safe haven was very welcome. Located in a secure gated residential community it is spotlessly clean and comfortable with big ceiling fans in the rooom to keep cool in the baking hot summer months. Breakfast was hearty and set us up for the long drive back to Lima and the staff were very helpful. There is a pretty garden, a bright, airy television lounge and there were lots of little touches that made this hotel more than just an ordinary pit-stop. We were able to use a locked garage to keep the car secure overnight and the Brilia really was a good find as there seemed to be a dearth of decent places to stay in this town. Highly recommended.
