Nice place.Very well maintained big beautiful area.Loved our apartments "Briedis" with terrace and fab views over lake.Good breakfast and dinner. Nice coffee. Pleasant staff. Extra activities like biking, canoeing and sports available.

Great stay at beautiful location

My husband and I held our 2,5 day wedding celebration in Vila Dugbiris in the beginning of july - and we honestly believe we couldn’t have found a better place! 😍 The vila is like something out of a fairytale, with beautiful facilities, rooms and the nature around! 🌲🌺🌳 We’re so happy that we decided to have the ceremony outside by the lake - it was magical - even despite the cold and windy weather! 😍😄🤵👰 But what really makes this place 100% perfect is the staff team: we got help and guidance along the way since Decemeber - to make sure that every detail is taken care of. And during our stay all the staff made sure that we and our guests don’t have to worry about anything! 😍 Our celebration felt like a small vacation - wich is what we we going for - and we thank the friendly administration, service, kitchen and gardening staff for making our special day so amazing! 🙏😍❤️ Oh, and the food - we can write a whole chaper on how much and how delicious it was! 😅🍽😍 We are already looking forward to visiting again! 😍❤️

Like a fairytale!

We regretted that we had only one day to stay. it’s in the middle of a forest and a lake so you have nature’s beauty in all forms. We laid in bed and listened to the birds singing and just relaxed. In the morning we we walked the paths and sat on the dock watching a family of swans swimming around. This is an excellent place to stay at a very affordable price. I would definitely return if I were in the area. 

Great discovery 

Amazing nature and silence. No noise, rush or chaos. This magnificent place is situated between forest and lake. Don't be nervous if service is slow... just imagine that a waitress is a fairy. Cuisine was good.

" A Mysterious Island"

Once you visit this wonderful place for the first time you have the feeling of being lost in the forest ! Then you get to the gate and it opens in front of your eyes a comprehensive resort ( which looks like a hunting lodge if you consider the plenty of antlers within the hotel ). Nature around is beautiful with an amazing lake and I appreciated a lot the striking stillness and the deep silence broken by chirping frogs, bird songs and wind. I remind you that we're in the middle of nowhere ... If you wish to reunify with yourself I suggest to go at sunset down the wooden pier looking out over the lake : a unique experience. Definitely it does not bother me that this place is cut out from anywhere ... in fact with your car you can go everywhere. My room was very nice with a fantastic terrace and a great view; comfortable bed and new bathroom. Meticulous care for details. Very rich breakfast but ... you do not have to be in a rush ... In fact everything in this place is very slow ( and I value this attitude in such an environment ! ); as a matter of fact when I ordered my pancake after 40 minutes it was not ready yet and I could not wait any longer because I had a business meeting waiting for me ... Never mind : I have to admit that dinner was excellent. My choice : a very tasty mushroom soup followed by a superb wild boar fillet. Special the local dark beer too. I guess that in summertime a lot of people are visiting this resort, but I'd rather recommend it when it's quiet ... this is its value. Very competitive prices. A place to be back but for 2-3 nights at least.

Over the top

This year my friend and I decided to spend our holiday in Žemaitija and visit significant places in this area. The first place we chose was villa Dubgiris. We spent there two days in July and we enjoyed nice environment, cosy and original rooms. Yet, after we left the farmstead, our mood was ruined when we recieved a call from the villa's administrator who accused us of broken table that was standing in our room's balcony (the table is wooden and you need quite a lot of force to break it). We tried to explain that we did not even touch the table, because we did not use it, so we did not even see that it is broken. The administrator was not keen on listening to us and she asked us to pay 40 EUR for the damages. We asked for the number of the owner that we could explain this unpleasant situation, but the administrator only said that the owner does not have time for such requests and tried appealing to our consciousness. Well, our consciousness was fine, because we did not do anything. However, our holiday mood was ruined after all. We both like to travel, but we have never been accused for such thing! We are both in our fifties and we don't party or climb on tables that they get broken. I would like to warn you before booking a room in villa Dubgiris to carefully check your room together with its staff in order to avoid such unpleasant situations. We have continued our trip in Žemaitija and we met a lot of nice people, however, this riding hash stayed with us until the end.
