Beautiful place, good food,great staff(Steve n mueni & friendly management Evan nice job ,great location. We went to this hotel on our tour.suitable for couple & families.would highly recommend and definitely come back if ever in Mombasa again...
 

In a great location for radiating out to points around Mombasa & the coast; close to transport. Rooms are above average for the price although I had to ask for maintenance to fix lights, shower, locks in all 4 of the rooms I occupied over a 3 week period. These issues were reasonably swiftly attended to. The staff & management are friendly & the buffet breakfast varied & filling. The big downside is that it is right by a major road & close to a junction just north of the centre making it very noisy well into the night & early in the morning. If you have earplugs as I do, fine, but look for a room at the back, if not. The wifi is very fast & reliable, but only available in the rooms at the front facing the traffic. Otherwise, there is a table downstairs near the reception with power sockets you can use & excellent internet connection. Overall, good value.

Good ambience. Good location. Friendly staff. Caring management. Will definitely come back .commuting to all areas in mombasa was good due to location. Price very reasonable and food fresh and juicy. Will recommended to all who wants a quiet and homily place.

Pretty Good Budget Hotel

AMAZING PLACE   

Darajani hotel 

Located in Buxton area, Darajani is next to Bridge hotel. Darajani is older than Bridge and rate cheaper too. Easy access to town.
Can get noisy as it is by the road to Nyali.
Service was good. Average sized rooms with an option of a fan or A/C.
Food was okay too. If ordering a meal, please be patient as your order is processed.
Packed breakfast is available on request.
Quite affordable.

Good place

The location is great because it is close to town, one can walk to town or take a matatu (public service vehicles). Its closer to Malindi bus park (reason we choose the location).

The food is average, out order took forever probably because it was late at night. If you need a quiet sleep avoid rooms with windows facing the road. 

The rooms are spacious with comfortable bed

Budget Accomodation

Double charge: We booked from hotels.com in Apr , the website charged me, At check in on Aug 19,23, receptionist claimed I did not pay, charged me again. Talked to Grace, night clerk , she helped me with the wifi, to access to my credit card, she took screen shot of my cc statement and promised that she will bring this up to Steve  billing guy. Nothing happens yet
Water heater was in bad condition, did not work, my friends got electric shocked, too afraid to take shower. 
Bad location, staff advised us not to walk in the neighborhood. We had to use the room service from the sister hotel Bridge. One couple in my group ordered room service, ate dinner on their bed, inside the mosquito net
Loud music all night until 4 AM, then chanting from loud speakers at 5 PM
Horrible condition, I could not sleep
Wi fi did not work, even help from day staff who gave us a whole bunch , list of different pass words. Wifi worked only at 2 AM with the help from night staff
I booked 2 "luxury double rooms", the 2nd bed is a pull out bed,difficult to sleep without hurting your back
Mosquito buzzing your ears all night, At the reception area, staff use mosquito repellent coils which are toxic and banned in my country



Be careful , stay away, don't be fooled by other reviews or pictures

I experienced the unreiabiity of the manager Bryan JUMA and the rudeness of the director of the hotel on 25.4.2015. After being asked to book by email and confirm by LPO the following Monday the management canceled our booking as we went to bring our luggage and later threatened me with police after I left the luggage outside to go get a taxi.
