Simba House

My husband and I were booked to stay at Simba House. for 5 days. Unfortunately, 3 days before we were to stay the pump in the pool broke down. They sent us a message letting us know that the pump broke and the pool would not be able to be used for the time we were there. They offered us a complimentary special Italian Dinner. My husband likes putting his feet in the ocean and not swimming in it so that left us at a huge disadvantage. We expressed the desire to cancel fully expecting them to charge cancellation fees etc. THEY DIDN'T. They apologized for the inconvenience. We were able to cancel without penalty. I have experienced many hotels but I know a lot of them would have let us come and then told us on arrival "the pool doesn't work". That would have been very disconcerting. I appreciate the fact they let us know in advance and allowed us to cancel. My husband and I both agree we definitely plan on visiting Simba House on another occasion just so we can get to know the wonderful management who did what most others would not have.
