They're restoring the structure and there's a big difference between the photos on the internet and the rooms where we stayed. It's a work in progress (we were at the Saints Bridge and they were working on fixing the beams) so I can't speak for all the rooms, but the two we booked on the ground floor were very clean, the comfortable beds and even the furnishings were cute.

Very good value, nicely located close to the city center, the room was clean and comfortable with AC, the manager speaks perfect French and had excellent recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. Breakfast had both sweet and savory options and eating outside is always appreciated 
Would highly recommend the place when stopping by Veszprém.

Good location, close to city center and with private parking. Free but very slow Wi-Fi, useless from time to time. Nicely decorated but everything old, breakfast was poor, staff was friendly and English speaking but nothing much more.

Good value for money

Nice, peacefull and hungarian traditional place. Traditional hungarian food, nice people and situated close to town center; suitable for young and restless business man. Pick up tradition in its place insted of luxury you get anywhere. Free wi-fi access an GOOD FOOD

Good food nice (english speaking) people

I was there twice (first time i spend 3 night than one night). Both time we got the same room facing the garden. There was 4 years between the two travel (2008 and 2012). Furnitures, mattress became run-down sleeping was terrible. Breakfast was bare. I don't know how other rooms are, but i suppose the are also old-fashioned and need a renovation.

Not the best but also not the worst

Having had really bad experiences with similar B&B's, this is still one of the better places. The service was very friendly, the building and both rooms we've been are nicely decorated and not too run-down.

On the downside, the mattrasses were hard and we woke up with a painful back, one of the towels smelled rather nasty of chloride and the lock on the door looked rather unsafe (the door actually rattled through the night because of the wind). The breakfast is also rather bad, although still one of the better ones we've had on our trip...

If they imroved on these accounts, however, I'd definitely stay there again.

It was attempted to arrange the rooms with fine old furniture individually and characteristically; they were in the basement, they were entered separately through terrace doors and had small terraces with seating facilities. But this must have been all the years ago. In the meantime the rooms seemed to have been barely cleaned. The bathroom was unreasonable: the tub was covered with dirt, probably cleaned for years; the shower, likewise, could never be clogged with hair and other water, so that one could sit on a knobby terrace.

It's a thought!

Reception service was friendly but inadequate.  We reserved a garden room but there was a misunderstanding about the arrival date so they had to give us another room in the pension where the draining of the bathroom smelled. Upon request, a garden room was showed to us but that was not much of an improvement. This room was dark and smelled damp (moist). In the end we got a third room on the same floor as the first room.  This room was not nice either but looked old-fashioned and worn out.  The room and the entire pension does need a lot of renovation. The pension was gloomy and gave us an unpleasant feeling
Beds and linen were worn out too and the linen looked worn. The carpet on the floor was worn too and was not hoovered.
This is a bed & breakfast pension but if you wanted coffee, you had to pay extra. 
Location is perfect and close to the centre of Veszpém.
The reason why we choose this pension was because The Rough guide says about this pension that it is and engaging little pension with bright, but somewhat small rooms. I only agree on the small rooms.
Final recommendation: avoid this pension.

I did not like this pension

One night stayed. Small but pictorial room, not particularly clean, especially the bathroom, blind and with a noisy vacuum cleaner (you could also hear that of the neighbors).

Economic solution without claims

We have occupied two rooms for two nights in this charming and tasteless establishment! And yet there is not much to be lacking to make it a typical establishment and a pleasant stop a few steps from the old town of Veszprem and 20 km from Lake Balaton. Go the owners, invest a little to improve the decoration and comfort of the rooms as well as the quality of the buffet, in return you can raise a few euros! Room price: 35 euros!
