This place is a small treasure for those who wants to enjoy lot of own space at the beach of Balaton. Beautiful garden and quiet surroundings in this private place only for the guests. The water is deep so it's not ideal for people who aren't good at swimming. Ok room standard at the guest house on the other side of the street.

Luxury at Balaton

No internet access, no Air Con, rooms not clean and full of spiders, furniture old and falling apart, beds uncomfortable, bathroom flooded whenever letting water out of the bath, breakfast very limited and overpriced, receptionist clueless and rude.

I also wouldn't trust the staff enough to want to stay here again. We called them after leaving, having accidentally left something in the cupboard, and they claimed it was not there. It definitely was there when we left. 

The private beach is nice, but it is unfortunately the only positive for this place. We definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Definitely wouldn't go back

We are a young family and we need internet all the time. I called them before we left to double check whether there is internet in the apartments and they said yes there is. So we took our laptops, Kindle etc. There was no internet and when I told them this, they said no one complained before! We requested breakfast for 1400/each, and we expected some variety for this money. We received 6 slices of coldcuts spread out on a plate, some bread, mini jam, mini margarine and coffee that smelled like poo. That was it! Every time we let the water out of the bath, it flooded the bathroom. The taps didn't work properly and they were dripping, which didn't bother us, but one morning a woman (who works at he institution, MTA) from the flat below knocked on the door and said that she couldn't sleep and could the plumber come over the next day to fix the taps. We said, yes of course. We agreed a time, we deliberatly didn't go out and delayed the baby's sleep. They didn't show up and she didn't even bother to come upstairs to let us know the plumber wasn't coming. We waited a couple of hours. The handles of the cupboards were coming off, there were spiders everywhere in the rooms. Just awful. Beds were very very uncomfortable. But the final straw came after we left. On our way, we realised that we left an unopened box of formula in one of the cupboards in the kitchen. I called, hoping we could get it back somehow, if either a friend travels that way, or maybe they could send it in the post for us. Not even in my wildest dreams did I imagine what was going to happen. I called the receptionist and he said the cleaner was just at his desk and he would ask her. I heard her hesitation, then she said she didn't find it, there was nothing we left in the apartment. I was hoping she just didn't check thas cupboard, but then the receptionist went over as well, he asked me to call him back half an hour later. I did and to my shock he said he didn't find it either. Before he went over, he even said that we must have packed it then. I was outraged, I knew we didn't. When he said he didn't find it either, I knew for sure that the cleaner had stolen it, alongside other things we left in the cupboard, like pasta. I am shaking with anger. Not only was our holiday ruined when we were there, but even after we left we had to realise that there are thefts in this place. This review might sound harsh, but it is all true, we are very angry.
