Madarász Vendégház

We could not have been more pleased with this beautiful place. The room, and whole place, was impeccably clean, very pretty. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, and looked out to a vineyard. The generous and friendly hosts did everything possible to make our stay there terrific, including a tour of the cavernous cellar, and tastings of their wines and schnapps (all homemade, and terrific). But be careful, Hungary has a zero blood alcohol law for drivers! On the top floor with the guest rooms was a well equipped kitchen (microwave, kettle, cups and plates etc) with tables you could sit at. The dining room was terrific, with its beehive oven, and looking out to the old pear tree. If it hadn't been raining it would have been great to explore around the property a bit more. We ate dinner and breakfast there, as there's nothing else close by, and both were fantastic...and HUGE! It was just a 15-minute drive to Pannonhalma abbey.
