My family and I stayed at the Arany Barany for 2 nights. When we were trying to book there seemed to be limited options and we were a little hesitant to book at the Arany Barany due to the not so complimentary reviews. We were fortunately very surprised! While this hotel is somewhat old and perhaps outdated in some areas, we had a very nice stay. The front desk staff were awesome and spoke very good English which made life easier for us. The breakfast was ok (nothing special), unfortunately the lady serving in the restaurant could not speak English and we know no Hungarian which meant there were a few issues when trying to order bacon and eggs but we got by. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable and while the air conditioning didn’t cool the whole unit they brought us a fan promptly when requested. The bathroom was lovely with a double vanity it seemed to be updated . Overall we had a good experience and I would definitely stay there again.
