Uni-Hotel Diákotthon

This hotel is on the campus of the University of Miskolc. Perhaps the first comment to make is that the campus is like a park and delightful to stroll round. We were on the fifth floor of the hotel which is the up-market part. We had what amounts to a small flat with separate bedroom, lounge, bathroom, kitchen. The TV is old fashioned and only produced Hungarian channels. The kitchen has pots, pans, a cooker, a toaster but no kettle. No tea/coffee or biscuits were supplied. There is, however, a Lidl Supermarket only 5 minutes walk away. The hotel is quite some way from the city centre but there is a bus service. The hotel has a cafe which serves breakfast Monday to Friday but not at the weekends. It is quite good but only has ham and eggs type dishes and no cereals.
