Wonderful hostel! Peter & Cecília couldn't have been any more helpful. They really go out of the way to make your stay enjoyable. Extremely welcoming. 
The hostel is spotlessly clean with really good facilities and great location.

I visited this hostel for 3 nights with two friends. On arrival we were greeted by the two hosts, Peter and Cecilia. They were so friendly and they sat with us for 30 mins going through all their recommendations in the city and the places worth visiting. They showed us around the hostel which was small and cute. It had around five rooms of various sizes and we were in a four bed dorm. The room it’s self was lovely - it had exposed brick and high ceilings and felt very cosy yet spacious. The room also had air con which was amazing as it was about 33 degrees in Buda! 

There are two showers and a toilet for each gender with a spare toilet if those are full. At first I was worried I would be waiting ages for the shower and toilet but I never had to wait for the toilet as people were in and out the hostel at different times and it was only small. I didn’t use the kitchen area but it was clean and modern. The hosts cleaned the hostel thoroughly daily and I never saw anything out of place. 

The location was amazing, literally minutes walk from the ruin bars and the clubs. It also wasn’t too far from the shopping areas and the basilica. 

Overall I absolutely loved my stay here - every place the hosts recommended were amazing. The hostel felt so homely and it could not be in a better location if you are wanting to go out in Buda. Would come here again and again!!

Couldn’t recommend this hostel enough! Peter and Cecelia are the loveliest hosts you could ask for. After a bad experience with every other hostel on our trip to date we did not have high hopes for this hostel but I was WRONG, the Fifth hostel was the nicest, friendliest and cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. The decor is so modern and clean and there is air-conditioning in every room (a bonus in this summer heat) on arrival we were welcomed by peter who gave us an in-depth overview of the city and the best places to go (we glad we took note as we found some fantastic and heap bars and restaurants) our hosts couldn’t do enough for us, the we’re always around asking if we were ok and needed anything the hostel really did feel safe and at home. We were provided with our own towels on arrival and there was a shared bathroom and kitchen on site to cook food. The rooms themselves were decorated so lovely (I’ve attached some photos too my review from the hostel word website as I have noticed the photos on tripadvisor must be a little out of date) I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to Budapest!

I was looking for a place to sleep in Budapest with my friends during our 6 days-long visit and we found the perfect one with Fifth Hostel.
First of all, we arrived in the night because of the delay of our flight and the owners waited us till our arrival. The day after, the owners showed us a specific map with all monuments, museums and structures to visit and how to get there, and told us what’s worth visiting. To sum up, the owners are really kind, always there to help you and give pieces of advice.
Secondly, but not less important, the house is really cosy and comfortable because owners cleaned it day by day, starting from bed stuff, to kitchen and especially the bathroom! Moreover they give you the chance to use pots in order to cook and prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner.
What’s more, the hostel is located near the centre of Pest, easy to reach by feet and near a lot of facilities (such as shops, bars and bus stops).
We’ve spent the best holiday here thanks to Peter and Cecilia! We’ll surely come back!

This is a great and affordable hostel with a friendly atmosphere! Facilities were clean and of a high standard and Peter was always talkative and funny, really made sure we knew all there was to do in  Budapest!

Amazing hostel!

Nice location and perfect hospitality

A fab hostel with a lovely pair of hosts!

Four of us stayed here in March 2017 for three nights before leaving on the sleeper train for Belgrade. The hostel isn’t the easiest to find as it is through a small gate on the main road so keep your eyes peeled if you are on foot! We had booked a deluxe room although whilst there having looked in other rooms I am not sure what the difference was although the room we had was perfectly spacious and comfortable. My main gripe is that the toilets (two individual toilets) are directly off the lounge where people are using the WiFi etc. The showers are also two glass shower cubicles plonked in the laundry room opposite each other with literally 0 privacy which I haven’t experienced in any other hostel we have stayed at. On the plus side Pierre was very welcoming and on hand with advice on where to go etc.
