Hotel Cocal And Casino

Spent a few days here, had a room facing the Ocean, and also a door to the pool bar. Staff are amazing. Hotel Restaurant is OUTSTANDING. Beach is great, downtown area was fine. Hotel staff make the stay/trip outstanding. Casino area is, sadly, a joke, and I am not 100% sure, but I don't get the impression they want anyone in there. Roulette and Rummy are only table games, and Roulette is a 30 dollar minimum. I did not see ONE other person in there the entire stay. This is def for adults, but everyone was well behaved, and they will leave you alone graciously if you politely decline. Overall, outstanding hotel, very good room service daily. Beautiful Beach, Pool, and Restaurant. Recommend highly; but, not a place for kids due to the atmosphere, esp at night. 


Very beautiful resort. Great food, staff is awesome will be going back! Best to leave the wife and kids at home and make it a guys week out. Went scuba diving,  deep sea fishing and the surf is best. Perfect waves.

Wow! Had a great time with my friends.  Very friendly service 👍 they grabbed my turtle before I was ready, but A -aron did two at the same damn time!!

Also, one out of 12 of them will throw a fit when you bring back to your casa. 5/5 stars overall. Will be back in a few hours.

I just recently stayed at the Cocal with some buddies, and man are they thanking me. First the coordination for reservations was painless. It didn't mattered if I called or emailed, they responded quickly. The transportation was there waiting at the airport and driver was friendly and spoke English, he was willing to stop and let us purchase cups and sodas to let us get the party started enroute to the Hotel. The living Arrangements wer marvelous. My friends have never experienced living conditions like the ones we had. The ATV tour and the crocodile tour we're Simply Amazing. We got to act like kids on the ATVs going through the mud. It was an opportunity you take a lot of photos for memories. On the crocodile tour you got to face some of your fears by seeing the crocodiles up close and personal, I even got to touch one of them. The transportation back to the airport was just as flawless at the rest of the vacation. I only have one bad comment and that is one of the rooms didn't have Wi-Fi, and that was it. So I give this hotel and their entire staff and they're coordinations, the highest that I can give them, and that is five stars all around. Thank you

Be leave it or not this Place Has Great Food And Service But It's Not A Family Place Night life For Single Guys This Is The Spot Fishing And Frolicking Has A Little Casino On Premises and Very close to town 45 minutes from the airport    

From Beginning to the End. The Transportation set up by Hotel Cocal with Christian as an excellent driver with beverages available. To the Hotel itself. Excellent Rooms just offshore from the ocean. A Wonderful bar area that turns into a night club in the evening with music and party atmosphere. A nice sports bar and lounge upstairs if want be in a more relaxing area instead of the main bar. Great food all day long from breakfast to dinner. I recommend the steak. Juli is your girl if you are looking for any excursions. Go for the crocodile excursion. It will get your heart pumping when you see these massive crocs in their natural environment. I had so much fun I didn't get a chance to try out the casino. That will be on my next trip. This place was a home away from home with everything at your door. I look forward to visiting Hotel Cocal again. And many more times after that. Thank You for the Great Experience. Till Next Time.

Love it for what it is!  You will not see more beautiful women in a single place anywhere.  Love Gringos.  I didn’t stay here or eat here but I gambled and had cocktails.  Ass is 5 cents a gallon.  I paid for every drink as I ordered it so padding my tab was impossible.  Just be smart!  DO NOT ORDER AN UBER FROM HERE!!!! The taxi gangs will box you into a very frightening situation. Again just being smart.  The girls understand “Gracias No”. Or “Not Tonight”. And some of the gals can have a pretty fun conversation without being pushy or hustling.

Lots of slots, a few table games and 2 computer roulette machines that are cheap. Drinks $4-6 a beer. Weirdly enough, the pizza is amazing and crispy. Side note: this is where all the prostitutes pick up customers, so that's why all the reviews say "lots of ladies hang out here". However, it makes for amazing people watching!

Has anyone seen Thomas Cook? He has been missing since 08/23/18. He has not been heard from for two weeks. His family and friends are terribly worried. If you know anything please post on Facebook. We are very very worried.

I just want to single out Cocal's full time concierge, Juliana Venegas. Her English is very good and her attitude is exceptional. Whether you are visiting for the fishing or to see the sites, you will find Juli is very helpful and knowledgeable in arranging your activities to include transportation. I have been visiting Jaco for four years now and am always glad to see Juli at her desk next to reception.

Cheap roulette and people watching

This is the place you want to be if staying in Jaco.  Both the pool bar and the casino are frequently by the local ladies looking to party (be careful of your valuables) and you are walkingvdifference to anything on the strip.  Cabs are also readily available to take you anywhere you wish.  If there's a group of you, you may want to check out the Vista Mar Condos associated with the hotel.  I've been going there prior to Vista Mar even being built, so I have seen the many changes in Jaco, which unfortuatley includes the pick-pockets....be careful, but enjoy.  If you decide to stay elsewhere, stop by the Casino Cocal at night and you will see why I recommend this hotel.
