It was our second stay because we had been there three years ago. We wanted to spend our weekend there, because the place had seemed very nice to us. We had a nasty surprise, because the house was completely neglected and the service was not the best: We couldn't use the pool because of the dirt on the inside walls and the water seemed to have no proper maintenance. (One thing is the leaves falling from the trees and another is the condition of the pool) The pool kiosk is totally damaged and can't be done at night because there is no light in the whole area. (see photos) We had cockroaches in the rooms, many sanctuaries. We could also buy smokers. (see photos) The last days there was no water in the shops and the first two shops were waiting to be filled, and the first two shops were waiting to be filled. The hotel had to offer a lot of food, and the first person who had to come to the hotel (see photos) could not even make a request to attend to the first person, and the first person who had to attend to the meeting, including a person who had to attend to the meeting, could

It's disappointing!

I had the opportunity to celebrate my couple's birthday there and truly, both the decor and the space were wonderful. The very spacious room, the huge jacuzzi and the hot tub are great. The attention is excellent. The breakfast in the room the next day is very complete and delicious. An excellent option to escape and celebrate as a couple.

The employees were friendly but the hotel is old, old fashioned, the sheets and pillow smelt like a hundred times used by someone else. They put a weird plastic pillowcase... Hmm disgusting. 
The breakfast was poor.
They said that the credit card device didn't work but we  know they wanted cash.
It could be a nice place with a little effort but it is not today.

I would recommend this hostel in the safe and popular area of El Poblabo, a breathtaking atmosphere and a perfectly maintained hostel, clean and regularly washed, and you are especially close to all the amenities you need to get around and enjoy the beauty of the city.

Exuberant and top hostel!

I stayed with my wife to watch the Medellin Festival 2 nights from December 6 to 8, it seemed very pleasant and most importantly quiet without the noise of the cars, Another very positive aspect is that it is very well located near the Santafé and Oviedo Shopping Centers of the Metro Terminals by taxi costs $6000.oo, I liked it and I've come back Thank you very much.

Very pleasant and quiet hotel

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at Casa Medellin, as tourists, although the hotel seems to cater mostly to business people or people attending family events. It's  private house converted into a boutique hotel with a pool and a lovely garden, situated in a quiet, residential part of El Poblado. It's a bit far from the metro and, returning, a long walk up a steep hill. But taxis are cheap, and there are frequent shuttle buses connecting with the metro. There is one (decent) restaurant a block away, no other dining options within walking distance. However there are various restaurant menus to order in from. The hotel staff is lovely, very helpful and eager to please.

We normally prefer more central locations when we travel but in Medellin there seem to be no appealing central locations. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Medellin.

While visiting friends in Medellin, I stayed at Casa Malibu.  The room was well appointed, clean, and quiet.  The breakfast was simple, but good.  The staff was superb.  They were ready to help me anyway possible.

1. reserve a room by phone and make the payment for the reservation. 2. upon arrival at the hotel I was told that they had internal problems and that the rooms reserved were occupied, as if nothing were at all. 3. show me the other rooms, which did not look at all like the photos, were runchos. 4. the rest of the hotel was poorly maintained, as far as I could observe. 5. total lack of respect for tourists.

Objectively, a disaster.

Excellent hotel, excellent location, excellent prices. if you are traveling to medellin you have to stay here, as it was my first time and I did not know the hotel made arrangements for me to be picked up at the airport. the breakfast is included, it is something basic but is fresh and the person prepares it to the map. a place to stay in medellin.

For the first time 

Although this property is really right off a vey well known and travelled road the taxi drivers look puzzled when giving them the address. Perhaps if I were a local or spoke fluent spanish I could have given them a little help but honestly too many taxi drivers did not have an incling on how to get me here. I fear its the fact that taxistas are not that well trained or tested in learning all the streets in this huge metropolitan city. The hotel is nice although not a word of english is uttered and one feels a bit like a specimen under a microscope. The hotel is well protcted and one can feel quite safe here. the front electric gate is daunting and TALL perhaps built for a vey different and more dangerous, Medellin of days gone by. I recommend this hotel but make sure to bring your electronic translator and colombian pesos and snacks. There are no vending machines, or minibars here. the pool was not kept up at all and the beach chairs are unusable. The maid service was outstanding. A nice tip is appreciated and well deserved. For the price the place is great but scary when your Spanish is less than and the taxi driver is asking pedestrians and other taxi drivers and motrists how to get here. Seriously scary at night in a lonely cab with a less than knowledgeable cabby..oh and by the way the street is one way in the wrong direction. Bummer. Walking to the local mall is possible just watch out for the drivers who have no problem mowing you down. Suggestion, take a cab and call a cab service who knows this street and hotel. You dont want to leave here without the address and directions how to get here. Jumping into a local cab and saying take me to the hotel la casa medellin will not be good enough!!!!!!? A word to the wise,
