This is not just any hotel, this is a place you can call home while away. The beautiful garden and natural well offer a delight from the hustle and bustle of Medellín.
Staff is helpful and they will make you feel at home. During the months I stayed, we shared laughter, occasionally a more sobering moment, yet, always was the staff helpful, professional and friendly.

Going to Medellín? Make San Lúcar the place to stay.

This place gave the worst experience I’ve ever had with a business. They made many promises about what we would receive for our wedding and then later told us they wouldn’t include what we had paid for. Then they tried to charge us more for changing the guest list to less people, even though we informed them well before the deadline. They refused to take any responsibility for their actions. They were rude and dismissive and not once acknowledged that this was a special event for me. And also went as far as sending me a series of threatening messages for leaving her bad reviews. And it just got worse, 13 days before the wedding they happened to mention that there was another ceremony planned at the exact time my wedding was scheduled. Despite the fact that I traveled there twice to arrange plans, they never once took responsibility. Since I did not want to change my wedding time. I asked for a refund so I could find another venue that was available at the time We had agreed on and book another venue that actually cared to treat us with at least a sliver of care. They agreed that they would refund the money. But then later said I would have to get a lawyer. Today our lawyer called and they are refusing to return any of the money despite what the contract says. The saddest part is this is supposed to be a intimate and beautiful day and I have 35 friends and family members flying in from the United States to celebrate with us.

Worst experience

This place is HORRIBLE. 

The worst part of it is the owner. She changes contracts, doesn't honor her word, and will likely tell you that what she offered before isn't on the table and if you try to get her to honor the contract or her word she'll say: suck it up, I'm the boss. 

Never had such a horrible experience. This is the place we paid for our wedding and because of how terrible the woman is, how much she changed her agreements and tried to price gouge us and raise her fees and take away things - we had to cancel the space 6 days before our wedding date. Not something anyone wants to do unless the experience is horrible. 

She refusesd to give us a refund, to work with us to find a solution and consistently told us that we were foreigners and were idiots. I have screenshots of her words saying this and now I've had to hire a laywer to remedy this sitaution. STAY AWAY 

Lastly if you do hold a special event here know this:
The food choices are slim. The grass is full of bugs that bite you. The grassy area where we were going to have our wedding is messy in some areas and there are no flat areas so seating is uncomfortable (online the photos look better. We went by the pictures but then realized after we made our deposit that this might not be the space, but we stuck it out only to learn it's really the service that makes this place horrible for anyone).

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! The employee confirmed dates with us to months ago to book this venue. Then literally days before, the owner demanded that we change the DATE and TIME!! Of course, we couldn’t do that since we planned this months in advance had guests coming so we asked for a refund. She refused and had no remorse or showed any sign of compromise. We’re now hiring an attorney to deal with this because she won’t honor the word of her busines or signed contracts. I wish this could have all been avoided by never even showing up to this place! Do yourself a favor... find another venue so you don’t end up like us.

These people took my cousin's money, were dishonest and rude, double booked the venue and refuse to give the money back. Medellin is beautiful and everyone else has been generous and nice Except the Managment here. You would be happier elsewhere.
