I visit Cali every July. I have stayed here many times over the last 10 years. This property is like a family run business. Perhaps it is not as modern as some of the newer hotel chains, but it is really much better. Here you get a full sized apartment, not just some small room. The kitchens have refrigerators with mini bars. You may have to ask them for pots if you plan on cooking, but the kitchens are equipped if you want to cook. Most of the apartments are one room, 2 full bathrooms with a dining area and a separate living room area. It is kind of strange to see a full bathroom with shower off of the living area, but that seems to be typical of other apartments I've seen around here of a similar age. They call it a baño social, and guests won't have to go in the bedroom to use the bathroom. There are a couple of apartments on the fifth (top) floor that have balconies with a nice view. I always ask to stay in one of those. These apartments are more open, loft style. They are not as big but they still have 2 bathrooms. They bring breakfast to your room and clean the apartments every day except Sundays. I don't think any of the staff speak English, but you could probably manage fine if you do the booking online. You just have to call down in the mornings to tell them what you want for breakfast and at what time. Other than that, you might not have to talk. But if you speak Spanish you will find they are all very nice. I've stayed here, and several other places in Cali over the years. This is one of the nicest,safest areas, with lots of restaurants and clubs within walking distance. Cora is a great place to stay, and a good value for the price.
