My husband and 3 teenage children were welcomed by Alex on Dec 24th. We decided to stay until Dec 30th, GREAT and best decision ever! Alex is a great host, and from when we first met him he made sure to make it a point that we were "home". We did feel like we were in our own home. We stayed in a queen size hut facing the ocean. The kids stayed in a 3 double size bed hut facing the back. As we lay in bed we could see the ocean meeting he sky in the far distance. The beach is white sand and clean. The ocean comes in many shades of blue, and at night it's light by the moonlight. One night, we noticed the waves were washing up little lights on the beach, it was a spectacular to see mother nature at it's best. The chef at Alex' is very talented, her meals were very tasty. The island is busy with day trip tourists arriving between 10am and leaving at 5pm. This was a fun time for relaxing and people watching. The closest town is Pasacaballos and it will cost you between $8 000 - $10 000 pesos by particular car, which are always ready available. On our last day, Alex reserved for a speedboat to take us back to Cartagena $20 000/person. Overall this experience was better than a 5 star resort! Thank you Alex!
