I struggle to reconcile my own experience at La Parenthese with those written by other reviewers. First, It is a beautiful space in a beautiful setting. It was overall a great value. I loved the West African sculptures on site. But at the same time, I have never been treated with such disdain by a management team. The problem started when we informed the management that we no longer wished to pay the $22 per person dinner fee for the four littlest children in our group (ages 4, 7, 7, and 7). They weren't eating the food and we just switched to cooking pasta and making salads for them. From that point on, the food quality and quantity that they served to us (the adults) dropped dramatically. Dinners were no longer enjoyable. The management team was so paranoid that we would try to take food from our meals and feed our children that they simply didn't give us enough food, let alone make an effort at cooking decent meals. Trust me, we weren't trying that - the tagines were great for adults (save for the last few days), but the little kids don't have the palates to appreciate them. For our party of 8 paying adults, they would often put out 3-4 of the small moroccan breads (1-person sized portions) total. When they served french fries (along with a dry and unpleasant roast chicken--where they had conveniently taken the thighs for the staff--the french fries served for 8 people were perhaps the size of a normal bistro portion for 1 person, It was laughable. We each had a few fries. Literally. I wouldn't be writing this review if not for some bitterness over how the food deteriorated in the last 48 hours of our stay there and their disdainful responses to our concerns. When asked about the problem, the manager replied, quite sanctimoniously that he was just "following orders from the owner." So, I don't know. Maybe if you go there and just pay for all extra fees and don't quibble with the owners you will have a good time as noted by the other reviewers. The space is nice.

Good value, but we had concerns about service

A quiet place, a high-end reception, a beautiful view of the Atlas, a top kitchen, a holiday with friends or family in a beautiful setting, a few minutes from Jemaa el Fna Square, a very beautiful Parenthes, I recommend this beautiful Riyadh without moderation.

What a wonderful bond of friendship

La Parenthèse Marrakech is a piece of heaven: a beautiful berber home nested between Marrakech and the Agafay desert. It is peaceful, authentic and gorgeous. Food is delicious, the menu varies every day and is homemade with fresh ingredients. The owners are friendly and know the region very well. They organize amazing excursions in the desert. La Parenthèse Marrakech is definitely a gem.

We went with our family for four days to Parenthesis. The place is beautiful and incredibly quiet, with breathtaking views of the Atlas. We were very touched by the kindness of Ludovic, who guided us throughout our stay to different activities. We will be back!

A family holiday of dreams for Christmas

We went to Parenthesis with 15 friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was just extraordinary. Lionel, Valerie and their whole team greet you with so much kindness and kindness that you feel very quickly at home. The place is beautiful. The party I'm having for my birthday will be unforgettable. Here you don't have to respect the schedules set by the accommodation. It's you who give your rhythm and the whole team organizes accordingly: Respect! Breakfast and all the other meals (very good local cuisine) are served by the splendid pool in a beautiful garden: a very beautiful garden.

A corner of paradise

We stayed there for a few days with friends to celebrate a birthday and it will undoubtedly remain one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed! The setting is just breathtaking, the welcome makes you feel at home and you're immediately on vacation! It's an incredible place to relax and party with an even more fantastic team! I'll be back!

It's a magical place.

On vacation in Morocco we stopped here, it's hard to find any bad signs and GPS points, you have to ask. Very nice house with a nice park and a big swimming pool. Quiet away from the village. Very pleasant home, dinner at 25 e a little expensive, but the setting is fabulous. Just one thing, I think there is a lack of a ventilator because the ceiling did not give enough air on the bed, we sweated big drops all night, but the pool was there to refresh us in the morning.

One of the definitions of the word Parenthesis is More or less long episode of existence, which is considered to be outside the normal course of this existence. This reflects well this quiet, peaceful, and gently comfortable guesthouse... in this frenetic setting, away from the bustling rhythm of Marrakech, the host is elsewhere. The Marrakech area is really the place where we are hesitant to mention how much we would like to keep it for ourselves. But it would be wrong to reward the exceptional work done by Lionel and Valérie and their entire team. Everything is perfect: the presence of discreet and efficient staff, clean and well decorated rooms, beautiful pool, sunbathing in sufficient numbers... we also enjoyed the involvement of our guests to make our stay exceptional by advising us of the best addresses or activities in the area. Finally, I end up renting the quality of the kitchen, whether for breakfast or for the places you can have at noon. We will return there as often as possible with pleasure or lunch.

Just perfect.

The place is worth it. No sign and a few kilometers of track before you discover this magical Parenthesis. Be careful, don't come here for the luxury of the resorts of Marrakech. A number of rooms that make the place intimate. Just what you need to feel comfortable to feel much better than well. A wonderful garden, a splendid pool and above all the quiet, the rhythmic silence of the singing of birds. Lionel and Valerie make all meals to make you feel comfortable, while letting you enjoy the best of places: a real rest!
