I was traveling to Malang with my friends and decided to stay at Chrysant for 2 nights. It's an apartment. We took one room with extra bed.
The location is quite far from the main road,and there is no public transport. We have to call a taxi to go in or out of the apartment. Of course it's not a big problem if we have our own car. Unfortunately, we don't have a car.
But if you are willing to walk up and down the hill for about 2km, then you won't have any trouble.
The room is quite spacious for two but a bit crowded for 3. It's clean and have a good bed. There were 3 of us staying in the room, but only 2 towels. No other bathroom amenities.
Our disappointment started when we were realize that the front office guy not always at the front office desk. Apparently the front office guy only stay until 4 pm.
At the morning , one of our friends is no longer stay with us, so we asked the front office to take the extra bed out and provide us with new towels. He said yes.
But then, later in the evening, after a long day of meetings, we back in our room, and we found the room is just exactly the same as we leaving it in the morning earlier.
The extra bed is still in the room, and the room is still dirty. The clean towels are placed in front of the door outside the room.
We were​disappointed and finally decided to move out.
The supervisor lady quite helpful to make sure that our disappointment didn't get any worse. She help with the transport for us to move out to another hotel.
And as for compensation, she only charged us 1 night payment instead of 2.

Not a good stay

The residence is located near Harris Hotel Malang.
I stay here with my daughter for two nights. 
The room is too big for the two of us, but it is very convenient if you traveling in group of 4 or 5.
   
Before you rent this residence, make sure you bring or rent vehicle because it is located quite far from the main road and from everywhere.
Buy enough snack and food before coming to the residence because no complimentary snack or snack bar and also no canteen or restaurant near by.
But, there is a nice food stalls before entering the cluster.

During my stay, there is one water dispenser in waiting room, but the hot/cold didn't work. No water in it too. We request the concierge and on the second day, the water is already in dispenser.

Overall, the residence is OK, convenient and clean.
This place should be considered to rent by group travelers
