This was our second time staying at this property and it did not disappoint. The property is small, cosy and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is great; coffee, eggs, tomatoes, avocado, fresh juice and toast… made to order with love! Valerio and his staff really made us feel at home!

Tremendous experience. A hidden gem located in Las Terrenas. Not beachfront as described, but the location is also convenient, isolated from the confusion of the city, with easy access to all places.
The hotel itself is beautiful, you can see the details in every corner. It was built with care, so that one can enjoy and rest. So much peace and tranquility. The room has plenty of space, with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, small refrigerator. Very clean as well as the bathroom. Hot water and amenities included.
The outside area is gorgeous. A large front yard, a beautiful pool. A nice place to rest.
The breakfast itself is a must. Fresh fruits, fresh juice, coffee or tea, eggs with ham and cheese, bread, butter… delicious.
And the last but not the least. Don Henrique, the owner, is a gentleman. He was managing himself the guests and making sure everything is perfect. Thanks a lot Don Henrique for your hospitality and warm welcome.

We really enyoyed our stay here. The place is super nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious too. Would definitely stay here again!

Great time! The breakfast was perfect! Valerie was so helpful & kind! We arrived with no luggage for our entire trip and he was so helpful to direct us, and we could go to get what we needed. Great location! The property was well-maintained! Will definitely come back!

Elegant tropical paradise, friendly host and staff, great breakfast

Great stay: relaxing, inspiring and beautiful. the area is worth a trip and this accommodation was a perfect choice for us. Welcoming, intimate and elegant but in the middle of the nature as well. Breakfast was the perfect start for a day around the best beaches of the area!

Matías was a great host.  The hotel is awesome.   The daily breakfast was out of this world.  The attention to detail is fantastic.  I can’t wait to come back.

We loved our stay at this beautiful place. The perfect getaway to relax and enjoy the silence, especially as this is an adults only with only a few rooms. The hotel is located close to the busy center, but not within walking distance.Rooms and property were spotless, very clean and comfortable. Mathias and his staff were very accommodating at all times. Breakfast was exceptional... made to order by Mathias. Definitely a place we recommend to others. We hope to come back soon.

A hidden gem

If I could rate this hotel with 10/10, I would! Math and Carmen are amazing hosts. The Hacienda is conveniently located close to the main beaches and restaurants. The decor is beautiful, everything is sparkling clean and Math has made sure that everything is eco-friendly. By the way: breakfast at the hotel was fresh and delicious. I am already planning on coming back and would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Las Terrenas.

Hacienda Terra Taina (TT) is a true paradise masterfully orchestrated by Math. This man has an eye for detail and has thought through every aspect of the TT Experience.  Math and Carmen are gifted hosts. I thank them for wonderful memories. 
-Location is removed from the hustle and bustle of the town, but not so far away to make it inconvenient. 
-Rooms are immaculate. 
-Property is outstanding.

Experience an Oasis of Calm

Matthias and Carmen are very special people who make you feel more like a guest at a friend's house than customers. 

The attention to detail is fantastic, the rooms are very well appointed with very comfortable beds.

There is breakfast every morning, cooked by Matthias himself, and he is a very good cook!

At night you can have a few drinks at the TT Bistro, always a good place for conversation before turning in. 

I highly recommend this place without any doubt.

Beautiful place, extraordinary hosts

The accommodation is great - modern rooms accompanied by a great swimming pool, cozy breakfast area and a well kept garden. It's far enough from the beach area to be able to completely relax and enjoy the tranquility, yet close enough to explore the city and go dining/drinking at night. 

What really makes this the best place to stay in Las Terrenas is the owners though. Math and Carmen are lovely people who are really committed to make sure their guests have the best possible stay. Math made us feel welcome right from the start, gave us a lot of useful tips and was really helpful when we had some trouble with withdrawing money from the local banks.

Don't keep looking if you want to visit Las Terrenas and you've come across Hacienda Terra Taina. Just book a room and you won't regret it.

Well what can I say for the hospitality of this amazing couple Math and Carmen. They made our 4 day trip in Las Terrenas a very special and unforgettable experience. Even though their home is fantastic, for us the most important thing is that we left feeling we have made some new friends and we have learnt so many things about the island and its people. Please do not stay in resorts. Explore around to feel the vibe of the island and once in Las Terrenas stay with Math and Carmen.PS: Breakfast, room and surrounding area just amazing. Very convenient if you have a car, which I would totally recommend so you can explore the whole peninsula. I would advice you to follow Math's recommendation on what to do while in Las Terrenas. He was right in every one of them.Thanks again for the great hospitality and hope to see you again soon

Life time experience

5 wonderful days! A lovely house with equally beautiful owners in Math and Carmen. I could have written a long list of positive things, but I'll save you reading. In short, the stay was far above what one would expect. As I told the owner, I have traveled in 35 different countries in the world. And this day is definitely on my top 3 travel experiences.

Math and Carmen are excellent hosts, our stay was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to las terrenas! The room and bathroom are exactly as they look in the pictures, very clean. You can go in the pool at anytime. And their golden retrievers manu and maya are gorg!
