Casa Montecote is a lovely “finca” set on a hillside overlooking a wide valley with views to beautiful Vejer de la Frontera. The whole area is peaceful and welcoming. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped, Rainer takes great pride in the way the properties blend in with the environment. Guests have the option to buy organic vegetables and eggs from his garden, he also sells locally produced wines, beer and honey. The option to have bread delivered to your door in the morning is also nice! Rainer and Gisela are warm and engaging hosts, never intrusive but available when you need them, Rainer gives a relaxing massage in the sauna suite if that appeals. La Muela is ideally situated for those looking to combine a peaceful location with easy access to some of the best beaches in this corner of Spain ( the beautiful and unspoilt Playa Mangueta is 15 minutes away, the best clothing optional beach in Europe in our opinion), visits to places like Medina Sidonia, Jerez, Cádiz and even Seville are achievable too. However, a car is a necessity as la Muela is quite remote.
