This ppty is not the same as the other 2 havelis next door, French Haveli and Dodhia haveli that is run by the same management. This one is entirely frill free to a point that there are no dustbins even. I was not given a bed in the room I was promised even though the floor was empty. My bed was clean but the room and common area were dusty. I didn't mind that as much till I went to the common toilet. The pot was dirty like Indian bus station loos!! I had to get the staff to clean it and put a toilet roll, which they did immediately.

However, in the evening when i went to use it again, it was dirty again. I hopped across to the other haveli and requested the staff to clean it again. I also spoke with Dipali, the owner of the havelis, directly with the request. She promised to look into it but when I returned later it was in the same condition. I had to use a loo in its dirty speckled condition. And, that was a deal breaker.

I wrote a detailed message to Dipali but she didn't respond.

If you want a Dharamshala experience, which is what this was, you have several other options at less than half the price.

ON THE PLUS SIDE - There is a friendly family downstairs who lives there. The staff is friendly and helpful with recommendations. In fact, one of the boys, Dattu enthusiastically took to Diwanji ni Haveli and gave me an elaborate tour that I was very grateful for.
