I have stayed in this hotel many times over the years. The friendly and helpful owner personally ensures that there is always great attention to quality in every possible aspect. The staff don't let him down, maintaining a suberb service at all times. Nothing is stinted in the dining room whether for dinner or breakfast. The tables are beautifully dressed in traditional style and the food never disappoints. The building is a little quirky for access to bedrooms, there is no lift, but there is a ground floor room available should this be an issue. The bedrooms are clean, well furnished and decorated in an upmarket modern style. In addition to tea, coffee and hot chocolate guests receive a piece of fruit, crisps, biscuits, bottled water and my personal favourite, KitKats. The hotel has parking and is a short walk from Wallasey Grove Road rail station on the New Brighton line. Great value.
