Belcehan Hotel

My partner and myself stayed here for a week between 9th July - 16th July. The hotel had everything we needed and don't really have a bad word to say about it. It is only one street over from a long strip of bars and shops. If you visit this area make sure to visit Hisaranu (about 5minute drive by taxi), this seemed he place to be and had around a mile long strip full of pubs, shops and restaurants. The staff at this hotel were brilliant and couldn't do enough, especially the barman, I think his name was Safaad. He was brilliant and kept the bar open late (4am) a few nights so we could have a late drink by the pool. The hotel also ONLY do breakfast and lunch, there is no evening food available at the hotel to buy even though it was advertised in their menu. The hotel also offers no entertainment of any kind. This means that after about 5pm the hotel is extremely quiet and there is no one really at the bar/ in the pool. This part of Turkey is NOT cheap, both the hotel and outside venue prices were comparable to the UK, maybe even slightly more expensive. eg. a pint of local beer Efes is around 4GBP and any cocktail between 8.50-11GBP. We found the closer to the beach you are the more expensive the drinks. Food at restaurants was similar prices to what you'd pay in a U.K city. Pros -VERY good location - friendly staff -plenty of sunbeds Cons - Expensive area for drinks - Wi-Fi in our room was non-existent ( think we pulled the short straw with our room) - Sewage smell from the bin lorries every other morning - 15% extra fee if you pay by card in hotel
