Delaf

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Delaf. It is clean, comfortable and offers good value. The staff were pro active and very helpful in offering advice. Bianca in particular is a real provable solver. 

I have to admit our room was better than the others (we had 204; there were people we knew in other rooms and saw them, as well), but still this hotel offers the basic package for a nice stay. Very clean, large rooms and balconies, comfortable beds and decent location (not in the centre, but close to Iulius Mall).

Pleasant Stay

I stayed in Hotel Delaf for 7 nights. It is a very clean hotel and super location, 20 minutes walk to the old town. The decor is somewhat dated. The WiFi in the rooms was not working so had to sometimes work in the reception area. The staff were nice. The food was not good, often cold so would recommend not eating there. There are many rugs and carpets which were trip hazards. There is no lift on the building or none that I could see. The hotel has huge potential buy needs to be realised. 

Good location in Cluj

Had a real problem finding the entrance to the car park. The staff were unable to explain accuratle how to find it. A little map would have helped. Hotel is well maintained. No lift. has carpet over tiles on the stairs which is risky when carrying heavy bags up tem. Corridors are echoey with failry clear sound transmission between rooms. Rooms are very large, big enough for a party, and there was !
Good menu for dinner but basic breakfast  Go what I paid for!

Frustrating!

As usual we stayed in the hotel as little as possible so from this point of view it is pretty ok. On the way from airport to the city center, close the bus stop so easy to reach. Rooms clean but not cleaned every day - just towels changed. Breakfast pretty ok, especially good coffee from Dalmayr coffee machine but the "hot" buffet is not hot at all - hotel staff probably do not know how to use bain marine. Overall - worth staying and worth paying the price. Wi-fi in the rooms.

Reasonable price for reasonable service

My wife and I checked into Hotel Delaf for one night 19th July. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable as was the bathroom.The meal in the restaurant in the evening was perfectly adequate. The following morning on returning to the room after forgetting something I caught the room cleaner attempting to steal money from my laptop bag. When I told the man on reception he said, and I quote, "I wonder why she did that, at least you have your money back" When we left I told the man on reception that I would give the hotel a bad review and would never stay there again and he just shrugged. A friend put this news on social media and Hotel Delaf replied saying they would support a report to the police and that the lady had been sacked. Further to this on the Hotel's social media page I gave a more detailed account of what happened and as to date 4 weeks later have not had a personal reply or apology. The attitude of the man on reception made me think he was complicit in the attempted crime and I would not board my dog at Hotel Delaf for fear of them stealing the dog food.

I will never stay at Hotel Delaf again

The food is Good and At rezonabile orice. Also At the daily menu YOU get something sweet that s home-made.the specialitatea from the menu Take a Little mire time to be cooked.  The Tea is also a Good choice.

Really bad experience when it comes to customer service,  It was really cold outside, an absolutely no heat in the rooms or hallways. I went to ask the receptionist and she told me that the owner has tuned off the heating for the year in order to save money. I then asked for a a heater that I can take to my room, and she said that they do not have any. She said to use the extra blanket in the closet. The extra blanket in the closet was extremely dirty and dark spots all over ( not sure what it was, maybe dried up blood). They did absolutely nothing to provide heat in the room .. The worst hotel in Cluj when it comes to hospitality 
You be the judge on the extra   filthy blanket.. Bad ownership, Wi; report to HORECA and make an official complaint. The heat is mandatory , otherwise it should have been stated prior to payment that the owner is cheap and does not turn the heat on

One of the worsts experiences. Absolutely zero heat inside, when it is freezing otuside
