This is not a location for tourists. It's like a personal home, rented for some money. Mess, annoying host and bad food. Next time I will choose another location from this city. Maybe, if I found, a camping or something like that

Dor de Bukovina is a great choice. If you are tired of standard-hotel-rooms with flatscreen, minibar and ugly furniture >>> go there. In every detail there is beauty, from the colours of the curtains to the wooden floors, the bathroom tiles, the shape of the windows and the simple furniture. A place with history, obviously aged, but so are we. It's just a place to feel immediately comfortable. Very friendly and committed stuff. Real persons. And a great homemade food (with salads and vegetables!), the best I had in Romania. And its a good starting point for various activities like skiing, hiking in the mountains or exploring the more-than-beautiful Moldavian monasteries.

Attention! the website available so far is no longer valid. we called to book a room of 3, displayed 120 lei on the site. we take the dinner, displayed 25 lei on the site, bring us liquor and beer without ordering them. we thought our host was simply hospitable and generous. besides, there was no hot water in our room. Monday morning at the time of payment, the bill is 301 lei. surprisingly, we ask for the detail: room of 4 to 160 lei, meals at 30 lei, liquor and beer not offered. we try to discuss with the host to indicate that we had not planned this bill, that it is unfair to close the door on friends who do not understand this company is always to ask for a price to be warned about, or to avoid the price to be warned by new guests, using the company is always to ask for a price to be warned about, or to be warned about the price to be warned about.

Incredible authentic experience. We weee looking for my international friends for an affordable place , close to the monasteries protected by UNESCO and in the heart of the historical Bucovina area.
We spent a great time here. The portions of the food were large and it was delicious :)

Incredible authentic experience 

We stayed for one night at Dor de Bucovina and I am more than pleased with our choice. The place is clean and very well organised. We eat lunch and I was amazed by the taste of the traditional dishes the host prepared for us. Plus, everything was made from their bio garden you can see in pictures. If you want to visit the monasteries from Bucovina area, this is a great place to stay 

Amazing culinary experience and place to stay

We chose this location since my friend and I had a trail running competition we were taking part in and we knew that an early check-out was impossible. So we called the property, talked to the owner and specifically asked if a checkout in the afternoon was ok. After confirming everything was ok, we arrived at the pension and received a very low ceiling dark room with a double bed and 2 singles that smelled funky due to a sewer that was in front of the windows(we couldn't open the windows at any time), the bathroom was in very bad shape, the door could not be closed, the tiles were broken, the shower curtain was horrific, the sheets had a very powerful perfume smell and a couple of stains (almost sure that had not been changed and perfume used to cover). I should let you know that the landlady's husband suggested we get a different rooms at arrival time but he was quickly dismissed by his wife..
The next day, the landlady complained about us not having breakfast even though we had not booked any type of meals and upon checkout at about 5 PM we were informed by one of the maids that we had to pay for a second day. I informed them about having talked to the landlady about the late checkout but she insisted that the landlady had given her precise instructions that we needed to pay for another day.
After having a very unpleasant conversation with the landlady over the phone, where she admitted that we had agreed about the late checkout she started complaining that we had only eaten once and that some people had asked about the room and she had been unable to clean it ...even though the place was empty at the time (pretty sure they have a 50 ppl capacity).

I've written the longest review in my life so that people can avoid to have the same experience, so... they try to squeeze every penny out of your pocket, the cleanliness is lacking, the food in average at most, the personnel is untrained and unable to help you with anything unless the landlady is on premise, the rooms are awful...

Avoid, avoid, avoid, go to any other place on the map. Bucovina is amazing but the experiences we had with Dor the Bucovina ruined it
