We stayed for one night while in Alba Iulia. The hotel/accommodation was good compared to others -clean, double bed, en suite bathroom, air conditioning it was all there. 

The only issue was that it was further out of the city centre, therefore we had to use our car to get in to anywhere where there was any form of life. 

Unfortunately Google Maps shows the hotel as being right in the city centre when in actual fact it isn't! 

Average accommodation far out from city centre 

The boarding house is near the city's outskirt, making it a quick location for those just staying for  one night.
We were two couples staying in a twoo bedrrom apartment (actually 2 x two single beds rooms with a shard bathroom and a lobby)
The room furniture and amenities are really poor - no bedside light by default, no carpet on the floor, extra simple rooms, old tv. The hydromassage bathtubs mask was broken, there was mold in/on the silicone isolation between the shower's glass panel and the shower's bathtub. The mirror led light weren't working, the electric wiring wasn't isolated, so exposed to the humid environment in the bathroom. The couch in the lobby was 15-20 years old and broken, some furniture pieces were almost 70 years old and didn't fit the decor whatsoever. A very small fridge for 4 people. The save was done through an average breakfast. I wouldn't recommend it.

Not so great accomodation

We stayed for one night in the apartment room on the second floor. The apartment has a lobby with one really small bed (for which you need to pay extra) and two similar rooms one facing east and one facing west (sun in the morning/evening) with a common bathroom. The room furniture and amenities are really poor - no bedside light by default, no carpet on the floor. The bathroom was clean, but the floor was really dusty. Air drafts can get pretty strong and doors were slamming all the time. The main door of the apartment was broken and did not stay closed unless locked. Bed was squeaking and there was noise from the rooms on the first floor and the pigeon nests under the roof.

The breakfast is included in the form of a fixed RON amount that you can use to order food from the breakfast menu, which is decent, if not great. One coffee was 4 RON. Service was fine and staff tried to be helpful.

We left after the first night and moved to another hotel in Alba Iulia, which offered way better quality for 20 RON extra.

Not so great

I have just spent the night there and it could be better. The accomodation is average compared to the price. Luckily, the food was good and the custumer service pretty ok.
Points for the breakfast included into the price of 18 RON value.
Downside, the hallways have an echo and it can get very noisy during the night!
