Aonang Villa Resort

Another fantastic stay at Ao Nang Villa! We stayed here in 2023 and loved it so much we decided to return for two weeks and use the hotel as our base for exploring further afield as we had such an amazing time previously. It was fantastic to see so many of the staff we had previously seen still there and that many of them remembered us! This hotel is in a fantastic location right on the doorstep of the beach and close enough to the hustle and bustle of many shops and restaurants which you don’t really hear when on the premises. Yes, you do hear the long tail boats during the day but for us it’s not a big issue as you get used to it and people have to work! This time our room was overlooking the big pool with fantastic view of the limestone cliffs. Impeccably clean and cleaned every other day (our choice) to a high standard. Yes there are times when you will experience fluctuations in water temperature in the shower when there is obviously high demand at busy times. I’ve even experienced this in uk hotels! Breakfast has a great selection of local dishes, fruits, breads, cereals, plenty to choose from. The omelettes are delicious! Although we didn’t eat as much in the hotel this time (our choice as wanted to explore more street food and restaurants this time round) the times we did eat here was just as delicious. Drinks & food prices compared to the U.K. are ofcourse extremely respectable. Thank you to all the team for again being welcoming and friendly. Especially the massage ladies by the pool, it was so lovely to see you again and thank you for looking after us, I miss seeing you guys everyday! A must shout out to the garden and grounds team who are overlooked on reviews, they work just as hard keeping the premises clean. The gardens always look immaculate. The only downside to our stay was hearing visitors demand ‘English! English! English!’ right in staff members faces. On one occasion I did step in as the woman in question was just down right rude and I couldn’t listen to that behaviour. She did not realise I to was from the uk and give her, her due she did apologise but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. To me this is unacceptable behaviour no matter who you are or where you are from. Be respectful, you chose to visit and if you can’t speak the language be polite in letting who you are talking to know that. Manners cost nothing. We look forward to seeing you all in 2027 when this time we return with all our family!
