Thank you for an excellent stay. We were celebrating a family birthday, and were very satisfied with the service, professionalism and hospitality that was offered. The site is perfectly located, and well suited for indoor and outdoor activities. The swinning pool facilities are spectacular.

Perfect family gathering at Solstrand

A magical place. Not just the expansive views of the North Sea, but also the extensive indoor and outdoor pools, baths, steam rooms, sauna. I have not been to a hotel with such pictureque facilities. The grounds are instagram worthy. The food is top notch. 

Magical place

Solstrand was the perfect wrap up to our Viking Cruise to Norway. We wanted an experience out of the city where we could enjoy fabulous fjord views, in a tranquil setting. This was the perfect place. The view from our room was amazing. The restaurant was excellent: gourmet, beautifully presented and delicious food. The spa experience includes an infinity pool, a relaxing massage, saunas, whirlpools and a swim in the fjord. Strolling in the gardens with beautiful flowers, sculptures, walking paths along the fjord and views was relaxing in both rain and shine. Did I mention less than 30 minutes from Bergen? Highly recommend staying at this hidden gem.

Perfect Norway Experience

We didn't stay at the hotel, but we spent a day at the spa and WOW I could spend every day of my life there!! The massage and facial package we got was so relaxing and I could tell they really knew what they were doing. The infinity pool overlooking the fjord was perfectly heated and absolutely stunning! There were plenty of pools and space to find some quiet alone time and never felt full. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner/etc ! They'll give you a towel, slippers, and a robe.

THE SPA !! 

We had an amazing morning at the spa using all the facilities and also had numerous treatments . The surrounding area is spectacular to see from the infinity pool and also you’re able to walk down and swim in the fiord very cold but a definite must while your there 
All the facilities are to an extremely high standard and the staff very pleasant and helpful I would love to return for a spa stay instead of just a day trip it will definitely be on my to do list

Spectacular

Solstrand was absolutely beautiful and very peaceful.  The staff was accommodating with big hearts and bigger smiles.  My wife and I loved our stay.  It was a nice break from the big city of Bergen.  The bus drops you off very close to the hotel for an inexpensive ride into Bergen or from the airport.  Would love to have stayed longer at Solstrand.  Thank you for the amazing memories.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful spa, located right on the fjords, which makes it a destination in itself ! There are walks in the vicinity and scenic views all around. However, I would like to suggest a few things that need to be included in the room - a locker and a tea/ coffee caddy. Breakfast was good not exceptional.  The spa was fully booked but thoroughly enjoyed use of the pools . Would love to come here again.

Stunning hotel!

Everything was clean. The food was axellene and people was very friendly. This is one of the best hotels in Norway and we love it very much. We always come back to this hotel. Why not use herring for breakfast.

This is a very good hotel

The hotel's location is remarkable with all the rooms overlooking the fjord. Incredible in summer with the midnight sun. The hotel, although quite recent, has a great history and is evident in all the methods, decorations, precautions of the hotel's team. one leaves the chain hotel for a family hotel. Large family rooms, beautiful swimming pool and a dip in the fjord for the most adventurous. The restaurant is gastronomic. For a French consensus this is still perfect but nevertheless one will appreciate the efforts with very good/g quality meals (which remains rare in Norway).

The beauty of a historic charm

I experienced  week at Solstrand Hotel and Spa which included an extended weekend stay.  It was remarkable from the attentive service to the scrumptious meals to the simple accommodations to the location on the fjord to the spa and pool facilities.  What I liked most?  1) Getting to know the owner who is hands on from serving food in the restaurant to speaking to guest to working the front desk.  and 2) getting to know and be pampered by the staff from Andy who hails from Egypt to Christine to Miriam as well as Tom the sommelier (all in the dining room).  They took great care of me as a single diner especially Andy who made sure my glass nor plate was ever empty when hungry as well as Tom for his expert choices for the glasses of wine paired with dinner.  Wow!  Would I return to stay at Solstrand?  Yes, of course.  Would I recommend it to others?  Yes, of course.  GO Team, GO!
