The two of us had hytte 7.  There is a fully equipped kitchen, a very nice bathroom, a cosy interior and spectacular views. From th E6 it is quite a drive up into the mountains, but it is definitely worth it. 
The hosts are very friendly. There is a small supermarket in the village.


This camping site offers a peep into how life is when one lives up in the mountains in an area that is known for its snowfall and skiing slopes. The old couple who manage the property are very kind and hospitable people who have done everything to ensure a pleasant stay for their guests.

The shared toilets, bathrooms and kitchen area is very clean and has everything you need.

We rented the big appartment for me, my 3 children and their families; 6 adults and 3 small kids. We have had 3 beautiful days in spectacular surroundings. The place is perfect for us,and I think, for everyone. The place is clean, modern and cosy and  facilities Are great: showers, lavvo with fire, playground, big modern kitchen for everyone and the cabins have all standards. The hosts Are wonderful ❤️

We stayed at this lovely place one night when we was on a motorbike trip. Clean and well equipped cabin. Cosy beds, and good and clean bathroom. The hosts was very helpful when my hubby needed a doctor. 

We had a cabin for five people, although there were only two of us, and it was just right. With five adults in there it would have been cramped. The kitchen was well equipped wit fridge/freezer, dishwasher, stove/oven. There was a coffee maker and a kettle too,everything very clean. Small bathroom with shower. Nice sitting area with flat screen TV. There was wifi, but quite slow and not always working.
We were greeted by the owner, and given lots of information about the area, suggestions for walks etc. There are maps for sale, but 100 NOK is ridiculously expensive for what you get. I would say print a much better one from the internet before you go!
My only complaint about our stay at Skaby hytter & camping, is that there were no back-out curtains in the bedrooms. We had blankets and tried to hang them in front of the windows, but the sun almost never sets in June and it was light like in the middle of the day. So sleep quality really bad, otherwise a very nice experience.
