This prestigious hotel is situated in the impressive 88 storey Jin Mao Tower. Although there is a concierge on the ground floor the hotel begins on the 53rd and rises to the 87th floor. Located in Pudong’s business and financial area and opposite Shanghai Tower the third tallest building in the world and a major tourist attraction. The Grans Hyatt has easy links via the high level pedestrian walkways to several nearby shopping malls. It also has a metro station accessed via the basement of the hotel and is within walking distance of the ferry taking you the short trip across the Huangpu River to the Bund tourist and old town areas. The hotel has a wide range of facilities but what we appreciated most was the high standard of service from Gordon on the concierge desk, to Rhea Tao on Club Room reception and Sachini (an intern) who took great care of us in the Club Room. These staff members went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pretty much perfect. Please pass on our thanks to Gordon, Rhea and Sachini. Its staff members like these who certainly make the Grand Hyatt a place worth staying at.
