We spent 5 nights at Resdencial Vaianny.  From the start, communication & booking was easy and efficient.  The Hostal is very close to the main street so we could easily walk around the town. Our family of 4 shared a family room which was cosy but manageable.  Everything was clean and our room was cleaned daily.  The kitchen was shared amongst other guests and the family but it was never a problem to cook/eat a meal.  We also opted for breakfast with our stay which was simple (bread, sliced ham & cheese, jams, fruit, scrambled eggs) but appreciated.  There was wifi which was slow but worked well throughout the residence.  There was a covered patio where we could sit out and wait out the rains!  The host family is kind and generous.

Nice Family Budget Stay

I had booked online at this place to stay for a week I was notified shortly before I left that my booking was cancelled for overbooking. Now whoever booked an economical solution like this and finds himself under the Christmas holidays having to make another one without too much choice ends up like me having to book what remains at significantly higher prices.

Nothing to do with the photos that are false! The place is abandoned and full of cockroaches(c normal and it makes her laugh!). The bathroom is a shame: a rusty nail for the plastic clogged wall towel that bursts. Disgusting kitchen garden living room nonexistent or broken and dirty in the middle of a plastic trash can. To avoid wasting our stay of a week we left it the next day in another perfect apartment (zero cockroach) and worthy of that name, in two steps, a little more than 30% only!!! but like any good scam, she wanted to make us pay for the whole stay.

It's a terrible mess to run away from.

We found this accommodation by chance... we immediately found ourselves well. They made us feel at home, very kind and a little crazy (like us).

Very cordial and central place

I arrived here with my husband and two children by force majeure as by the lack of attention from other cabins It was the best option to arrive here Well in relation price very good quality breakfast near the center of Hanga Roa a few meters from the beach was excellent our stay here I totally recommend you feel at home Tereza a woman older makes your stay very grateful If you want to rest recommending the interior pieces and have patience with the gallos of the neighboring places.

It's a lovely place to visit.

It’s beautiful comfortable and the host is spectacular! She speaks limited English but she tries her best and is always warm & friendly.

Upon departure she sent me to the airport and gave me a handmade souvenir just to bid me a fond farewell.

WiFi here is not great but it’s what you’ll get all around the island so I recommend do all the necessary research for your tours & trips before u enter this island.

I visited this guest house a while ago during my 4 months trip to SouthAmerica. 
My friend and I booked 'Residencial Vaianny' early enough as it was the cheapest options, also considering that Easter Island is small and expensive. 
We stayed there a full week and got spoiled by Gloria and the breakfast she prepared every day!! Amazing! We also availed of the kitchen everyday to prepare our meals and felt like home.We kind of became part of the furniture!
Such a really authentic place, with a cozy garden and patio where you can relax and chill out during the day in a remote and fantastic island.

The guesthouse is located in the centre of Hanga Roa, currently the owner has taken over the management of the structure directly and welcomes guests with extreme courtesy and familiarity.

Clean, central boarding house with super welcome

Residencial Vaianny is a good hostel for a good price. It's located on a small street just besides the main road in Hanga Roa. Within 2 minutes you can reach a bunch of restaurants, car rentals, and a small beach.  I stayed for a week from December to January.  Keka, the owner, picked me up at the airport and took me on a small tour of where important locations are including the ATM's, restaurants, and rentals.  She's very friendly and speaks fluent English, Spanish, and French.  I booked a single room which contained a small bed, some shelves, and a little walking space,  It wasn't a big room but it satisfied my needs.  The attendant makes breakfast every morning from 8 to 10 which consists of fruit, bread, and a slice or two of ham or cheese.  The kitchen is available for any residents except during breakfast hours. Just make sure to clean up afterwards.  There's a small patio just behind the kitchen where you can enjoy your food.  It's a nice inexpensive place to stay.
