I had the most wonderful stay at the cute villa Araca Boutique Hotel . My single room was not only clean and comfortable, but it also offered a sense of coziness that made me feel right at home. The breakfast was a delightful treat to include a variety of fruits, fresh juices, and eggs that left me feeling satisfied and ready to start the day. The dinner menu, featuring delicious Italian cuisine, was a pleasant surprise and a culinary experience I won’t forget.

What truly made my stay exceptional was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. The owner and his wife were incredibly welcoming, treating me like a dear friend visiting from out of town. Their kindness and genuine care made me feel so valued. The peaceful and safe environment of the villa added to the overall experience, and the pool and common areas were always spotless and modern.

If you’re looking for a serene, clean, and comfortable place to stay in Flamenco Salvador, this villa is a top choice. I can’t thank the owners and staff enough for their hospitality. It was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to return!

Very nice and comfortable place. The area looked a bit abandoned when arriving at night but the host made me feel very welcome and the entire place is having a great family atmosphere. 
There were many good restaurants just a few minutes drive from the hotel. 

We spent a week of our vacation at Villa Araca. It was a rainy week, but we enjoyed every moment of it. Giuliano and Nilzete - the couple in charge of the hotel, made us feel at home, were extremely helpful and directed us to all sites worthwhile visiting. The highlight of our month in Brazil was a self service breakfast that included freshly squeezed juices, local and national specialties, home made pao de quiejo and delicious cakes. Patricia was in charge of the kitchen and she definitely knows her job. The rooms and the pool area were clean and well maintained. The beach is close by...and also the presence ob Uber makes life much easier.

Our experience was outstanding because the owner - Giuliano, not only spoke Portuguese and Italian, he also spoke English. He went over and beyond the call of duty; not only did he drive us to restaurants an organise taxis, he also arranged breakfast around a very early airplane check-in for us, and made sure we felt at home, and all our needs catered for. If you are a first time traveller, I would recommend this hotel if you want a "a home away from home' experience in a family friendly environment. We felt safe, reassured, and all our home comforts taken care of. This helped make our holiday a memorable one. Thanks Giuliano, Leo, Patritcia and everyone here - Obrigado! BEAUTIFUL BEACHES!

Great service, perfect to get out of the city for a romantic weekend. Good breakfast (I loved the scrumbled eggs) and a very fair rate for what you get! The stuff is very friendly, almost a bit too much ;) I can´t say anything bad... Thanks!

My brother-in-law and I had a great stay at Villa Araca. Giuliano and his Family could not have been more accommodating, and were very helpful with dealing with untrustworthy taxi cab drivers in Salvador. 

I would definitely stay at Villa Araca next time I am in the area, a really quality residence with world-class service.

We stayed at Villa Flamboyan, which is a sister to Villa Araca, just a few metres down the road. It was difficult to find as it is not signed, but it was worth finding. We had the entire grounds to ourselves, as of the 5 rooms available, 4 of then were occupied by the staff. The lovely large grounds consist of a shallow warm pool, welcome after the heat of Brazil in February; and a comfortable large shaded gazebo area where we spent many hours. Wifi easily available everywhere. The room itself was plain but servicable. The service was excellent - Giuliano went out of his way to assist us in every detail; breakfast was quite good although repetitive; Patrizia, the cook and chambermaid) was pleasant and efficient; the handymen and gardeners (especially Sydney) were friendly and interested in us and in helping us. A lovely peaceful place, within a 15 minute walk to town with loads of restaurants and shops, and a 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach and plentiful bars. Great place to unwind and relax.

Romantic place to stay

I was disappointed. 
Araca and Flamboyan Villas are run by a company called Pau Brasil. Directions to the accommodation take you to a small office - two desks, computers and a Manager - next to Araca.  That's euphemistically called the 'Reception'.  You pay up front. If you stay at Flamboyan you have to walk several blocks back to Araca for breakfast (although said manager will drive you if you prefer).  I stayed at Araca for the slightly larger pool and breakfast which I had been persuaded I should have.  However, I didn't stay long, I moved to a Pousada (B&B) closer to the beach after a few hours sitting by the 'pool' at Araca.
Basically, the so-called villas are converted suburban houses in a so-so neighbourhood about 15-20 minutes walk from the beach. There are no real restaurants within walking distance ( a few dodgy-looking eateries), no nightlife, no shopping.  You need a car. The villas are in a neighbourhood in which you are recommended not to walk except in broad daylight... even to the beach...
No staff onsite, so no snacks or drinks available while you sit beside the small (Araca) and smaller (Flamboyan) pool. The only 'food' or 'drink' is in the minibar in your room, and there is a very clear notice about not using the fridge for your own purchased food/drink.  No coffee/tea-making facilities.  
Extra rooms have been added within the gardens so everything is quite cramped. Along with someone's full washing line in Flamboyan!   Entrance to my room was through large French glass doors. No windows. Traffic trundles by the garden/pool area all day. It felt isolated and abandoned. It felt like staying in someone's house while they had gone on holiday.  It might work for a family or group of friends taking over the entire property.
On the plus side:
The bedrooms are very nicely furnished, with lovely sheets and duvet (I can't believe it gets used!), good thick towels etc,; each room a different theme and colour on the walls, lovely paintings. All very tasteful and clean. The aircon and ceiling fan work very well. The house's living room was tastefully furnished with sofas etc,... There are plastic chairs and tables for breakfast (Araca) on a terrace off the living room, and for poolside sitting, as well as deck chairs.
