Pousada Don Giovanni

It is an experience. The family THAT owns business gives hospitality from the heart. The tour (in an old Willy jeep) on the estate, the tasting, the dinner all organized with great sense of 'making you feel at home'. They are give good advice were to go in the vicinity of the Inn. Larissa runs the place with a never ending smile. And this was in Winter; imagine in summertime...

This was one of my favourite places in Brazil. It is an old Winery with some guest rooms and a few dining tables. So you will have the services of a hotel but with the feeling of a house guest. The food is great, although you don't have many choices. You can try their wine, visit the beautiful vineyard, walk and enjoy the amazing scenery, and have a romantic time in old and stylish rooms while surfing the web using the free wifi. Simply amazing experience. Visit the Caminho des Pedras when you are there.

I enjoyed a one-night stay at Don Giovanni. I wish I could have stayed longer to explore the grounds and wine taste.

The pousada is located in the vineyards and next door to the family-run wine production, storage and distribution facility.

The service was sincere and friendly. The family takes great pride in their operation and it shows.

I'm looking forward to staying a Don Giovanni again!

Great Place

Beautiful family-run winery and pousada near Bento Goncalves, RS, Brazil

My wife and I have booked a weekend at Pousada Don Giovani.
The room was absolutely dirty - full of dust and powder - which made us very alergic.
Apart of that, the experience was very bad, since no one showed us anything about the winery or the place, nore told us nothing. It happened that we visited another very nice wineries, bought other brands, but not the one we were staying at! This was very bad. I don't recommend - they are not good hosters. 

Poor Experience and Dirty Room

Location is amazing, but the crew and administration staff are unfriendly and rude to the guests! We didn't feel welcome. Needs new management fast! The owners (they are around sometimes) and the guys running the winery are really nice people though!
