B&B Täppet

We came across this B&B after finding the Hotel we'd booked in Solvesborg was closed! Disaster! Now what? Using the inbuilt information on a Garmin GPS we continued to travel generally South-West. We'd already covered 300km that wet day as part of a tour of Sweden by motorcycle. The first place we came to did not look good. The second did, but had no vacancies. The third was Sandsnackan. Finally the rain stopped as we arrived. The B&B had been fully booked - there was a National sports competition on but someone had taken ill and created the vacancy. We were offered the room for two days if we were able to return once it had been cleaned again. We did so and found it to be far better than the Hotel we 'should' have been in! Not only was the price good and the accommodation excellent, the Lady who runs the B&B offered us coffee and biscuits - at no charge - that evening and also the next afternoon where we were able to spend time in the very large garden after our lunch in town. She also allows the guests to use a large barbecue in the garden and also was able to advise us on restaurants to try in the centre of town. The B&B is a little bit away from the Centre - perhaps 15 mins. walk but was ideal for what we wanted! If we are back near Ahus we would certainly try here first! The name? Sandsnackan means sand-worms! Part of the house is below ground-level in the sand dunes and forest!
