Blau Punta Reina

My wife and I travelled with our two sons, aged 1 and 4 on 17th-24th July 2025 (as part of an all-inclusive holiday package with Jet2.com). As with all holiday reviews, there are some that fill you with trepidation - comments about no sun loungers; repetitive food choices in the buffet; and too many steps for it to be pram-friendly... but we took a last-minute plunge with the Blau Punta Reina and we're thrilled we did. This is one of the cleanest, child-friendly hotels we've ever stayed - and living in Dubai surrounded by 5 Star Hotels, that's quite a standard. Staff in all departments, from the wait staff in the restaurants, to the maids, to the animation team (entertainers) worked tirelessly to keep operations working efficiently throughout the day. The hotel boasts a number of pools: two large activity pools, one quiet-only pool, two children's shallow pools (complete with Pirate Ships and fountain palm trees), plus a three-slide section for older children (10+) and adults, and a splash pad for the younger children/toddlers/infants. There were always loungers around the pool - you do have to search at times but we found one every day without laying towels out at 6am. The all-inclusive restaurants (x2) are fully stocked with everything you could possibly want - hence the comments in some reviews that it's the same every day - it is literally because there is absolutely everything you could think of - every single day. There are plentiful bars - pool bars close at 6pm - another pool by the entertainment area is open til late, as is the bar near the main reception. The bars are also stocked with premium alcohol brands and not cheaper brands, making the all-inclusive option worthwhile. Children will love the activity clubs and the entertainment team. There is an extensive schedule every day, and even our normally quite shy 4 year old got involved, and was in the Disney show one evening on the stage in front of hundreds. The animation team are amazing and looked after our boy so well. There is also a quieter soft-play room which was perfect for our 1 year old when the heat of the middle of the day got too much to be outside in the sun. There is also a games room and a number of other games like air hockey and pool tables dotted around the site. One of the absolute highlights of the hotel is its location. It is a 60 minute transfer from the airport in Palma and is sat in the most stunning position on the Eastern coast of the island, overlooking a cove on each side, each with their own beaches, which can be accessed by a free shuttle. There is also the option to walk down from the hotel, but not so pram-friendly. Staff are friendly and will bend over backwards to make your stay wonderful. We didn't choose to venture too far from the hotel during our week but there are three main attractions in the area: Dinosaurland, the Rafa Nadal Museum and Academy, and the Dragon Caves. These are optional, but we actually enjoyed just relaxing around the pools and the buffet restaurants. Thank you to everyone at the Blau Punta Reina for making this a memorable trip.
