For a guest house this is good place compared to the ones in Delhi. Close to city centre few min walk from Metro station, i was curious to see many foreigners staying there i guess because of being known property, good for budget travelers and very economical. staff was helpful

i have used this Guest House, in the city center ,on a number of occasions,over a number of years.
             And as a foreigner, i have always been made very welcome.The location, is wonderful. Right in the thick of things. The rooms  and bathrooms are good . Yes , yes they could be cleaner . But nothing really to right home about. They food and drink  served are great. Lots of chai drunk , by me ,i have to say.

Another Visit

Nice and cosy

We visited Janpath Guest house in heart of city , Janpath.The place is just ok,decent for family and affordable.metro station is few minutes walk,janpath street market is just opposite and connaught place is few minutes walk.underground palika bazar also few minutes walk.to shop around central cottage emporium is also closeby and good place to shop for handicrafts and decorative items.

The rooms are just ok with comfortable ac and if you are going with family and children or teens please request for rooms without transparent glass doors in bathrooms otherwise your whole family will look like staying in a naturist colony. for honeymooners and couples it is ok they can enjoy views of each other taking bath.

Service is just ok cannot have high expectations,reception staff is helpful.please be careful of three wheeler autos standing outside the hotel.ignore them walk and take auto from a little ahead or running empty auto.ignore touts guides standing outside.the autowallas are always trying to fleece you.ask at the reception the fare or kms before you venture out to your favourite places.if you do not like the food in the hotel there are few restaurants nearby and if you want to enjoy south indian breakfast or lunch then saravana restaurant is just 1 minute walk from the hotel.There are lot of options to eat nearby.  the hotel is safe and away from noisy streets.
Pros - Superb Location 10 on 10.all within walking distance and in the heart of the city
Cons- Service needs to be improved.Shortage of adequate staff seen.
Proper marketing needs to be done for awareness.
Overall - for location,definitely yes for few nights stay.

LOCATION SUPERB IN HEART OF CITY

The location is great - centrally located.
The rooms are too tiny.Its on the 2nd floor, no lifts are available. Problematic for old people and in case you have heavy luggage.

You have to ask for everything right from a water bottle to hot water. I had to leave early morning at 6:30 and the geyser gave just a little water. When I checked with the Manager he replied "you should tell me I would have provided a bucket of water.". 
Also no bedsheets provided under the duvet.
Overall lousy service.

Location great but Service takes a beating.

Called to book a room,
The guy sitting at reception says we don't give rooms to people from Gurgaon and using disrespecting language -illiterate people at reception having no hospitality..
Will never suggest or opt for this guesthouse ever...
Would like management to intervene and take necessary action if they are really serious about customer delight..
