Good luck getting your deposit back ! 
Don’t stay there for the winter , these people will snoop and spy on you until they have enough evidence to kick you out so they can have your deposit , they kept 2 weeks of rent and my deposit ! They knocked on my door early in the morning while I was still in bed recovering from a flu , claiming that I haven’t been to work lately ( like it’s any of their business ) I pay the rent , claiming that I was a fire hazard meanwhile it’s nearly impossible to cook in those tiny kitchens without the fire alarm going off , they blamed me for a bunch of stuff , created the story how I am a fire hazard and without any notice and in the middle of winter they kicked me out on the street without giving me my deposit ., this is against the law and completely ridiculous! 
Don’t stay there ! The place may look beautiful but people that run it are snoopers ( small place , not much else to do , the only form entertainment is spying on single women and kicking them out ! 
What I don’t get is they are a bunch of women too yet they had no problem with My grandfather kicking me out , taking my money I could have used for  future rent and stealing 2 more weeks of rent from me without any whatsoever warning kicked me out on the street in the middle of winter . 
They went inside my room without me being there and took what they thought were criminal photos and I still to this day have no clue what it was , Shawna said something about drugs but even if it was drugs ! At this present moment half the people that live there use meth and crack ! But it’s ok for them to stay as long as they pay the rent ?!!?? Really , no sense what so ever ! 
Don’t stay there , it’s so noisy , you can hear your neighbours farting ! 
It’s also very eerie , reminds me of a horror movie plot . 
Beautiful place ruined by greed ! 
Good people would have fixed the fire hazard problem instead of blaming it on me and let me stay or at least give me the money so I can afford to go someplace else but no , they just figured to rob me completely and throw me out !

Don’t stay there !

Great improvements with the adding of pws sites. Electric has been upgraded. Sites for camping are more level. Always great staff on hand. The place is wonderful to stay at, quiet and the lake is great for activities. Laundry and washroom facilities are fantastic and well kept. Wifi works well when we needed to access it for business as well.

Summer camping 

The resort is nice, but loud late into the night. They say it’s a relaxing and quiet time but they allow late music into the night. They also have an 11 o’clock quiet time but after telling people to quiet down, they don’t follow up and the parties just start up again. If partying is your scene, it’s a great time, but if you have little ones, skip it.

We have stayed at Lakeside Resort for 5 years.  The location is excellent, there is so much to do in the area.  But the resort itself is terrible.  You are packed into very small spaces.  The staff are great and try to do their best, but during our last stay, the men's washroom was plugged for several days.  My husband finally went and unclogged it himself.  We had disrespectful neighbors that used part of our campsite, their pull out went onto our site, making the space even smaller, and their wash water flooded our site every time they had an outdoor shower, on our site.  Their excuse " we have been here for 20 years,...". We had to move our tent to avoid flooding.  Management did nothing to remedy the situation, and actually told us to "live with it".  After Management came to us and berated us for "not getting along", we will not be back.

Had the most wonderful time at Lakeside with a family reunion in early October.
Sally and her staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We all were more than comfortable in our lake view rooms and the setting couldn't have been more ideal.
THANKS AGAIN, as alway, Lakeside you're the best.

Wonderful Family Reunion

Our family got together for a reunion and holiday at Lakeside Resort.  Our unit was fully equipped , perfect size and very clean.  Family enjoyed time on the lake in their kayaks, golfing nearby and biking through the quiet neighbourhood.  Lake Tuc-el-unit makes for an idyllic setting and the Lakeside Resort made our family getaway a perfect vacation. We are already making plans for next year !

Great get away

I have been camping at the Lakeside resort every summer since I was a young child. It is my favourite holiday and the one I most look forward to every year. This year I stayed in a motel with my young son and it was also a great experience as we had more amenities and comfort while travelling with a baby. The staff are always friendly, it is very clean and the beach is sandy and welcoming. What more could you ask for?

Beautiful Spot for Everyone

If the fact that I haven't missed a year since I was born isn't a review, I don't know what is. I came here as a kid with my family, and I continue to come back as an adult because this place manages to feel like a home away from home. Families are not only welcome, but taken care of. Gorgeous lake, and beach, comfort-style amenities like showers, flush toilets, and a store, but enough of that "nature feel" surrounded by trees, warm breeze and time spent barefoot on grass and sand to feel like you're getting that re-charge that mother nature intended. Close proximity to neighbours and quiet time at 11 gives that community feel and the rest you probably need! I look forward to coming back each year!

Never missed a year!

My extended family and I have stayed at The Lakeside Resort many, many times since 1986 - in tents, cabanas, full hook-up sites and the motel. One of my sons, now grown with his own children,  referred to it as his 'happiest place on earth' when he was little. Things have not changed. Four generations of our family have enjoyed all that this amazing, family-oriented resort has to offer. Most recently, we visited in June 2021 with an extended family group of 28 and were not disappointed. The grounds were green and groomed, the washroom facilities clean and in working order, and pandemic requirements  were addressed with a level of care and attention that left us feeling comfortable and welcome. Whether touring local wineries, playing a round of golf at Fairview, organizing a bocce tournament, planning a camping potluck dinner, or spending a lazy afternoon at the beach....we look forward to our same-time-next-year visit.

Our Longtime Family Favorite

Myself my kids and now my grandkids and various friends have been frequenting Lakeside Resort in Oliver for years
I came with my parents as a child and I am 59 
I always loved coming here until this last trip
Our family rented two suites 
One on the lower with kitchen and my daughter and fiancé with her newborn in a sleeping unit only 
We arrived Saturday night 
Sunday morning my granddaughter had a shower and came out crying as she said the water was too hot
I then had a shower and half way through scalding water came and I quickly turned off shower
Then shortly after the trap on the sink in washroom came off and water came out after brushing my teeth 
I phoned and they sent a maintenance guy
He fixed sink and I mentioned the water being very hot 
He came back Tuesday to look at it meanwhile we couldn’t shower 
Tuesday he said he needed a part from Penticton and came back Wednesday and two men worked on the shower drilling the wall and changing the shower fixture 
We could not use suite all day Wednesday
Dust flying and drilling ect…basically people coming in and out all day
I talked to a lady on the phone and asked about a discount 
She said the manager will give a discount 
During our stay we had no shower for 4 days , sink leaked,lamp wasn’t working,hood  fan didn’t work on stove so set off alarm …cupboards were all sticky we had to wash them … loose handles list goes on
But all in all I’m usually very complacent and understanding … but what really upset me is we got a discount for one day only plus not one manager or person in charge asked if they could remedy this issue or offer to move us to another suite… or offer any solution!!!!!!! We used my daughters shower and toilet … I’m furious of the way my family was treated after being long time visitors to this establishment
Even after I emailed them I got no reply
Pathetic !!!  I will never come again and will never recommend this resort to anyone
