Oliver

We had lots of room to relax, use of fridges, dining in the sunshine or on the covered patio.  We were able to use the hot tub.  The location was excellent,  close to the golf courses, wineries and pickleball courts.

Very friendly hosts

This location is just across the road from the Nk'mip golf course and a couple minutes drive from the main downtown of Oliver. The hosts greeted us when we arrived and allowed us to choose our bedroom as we were the only guests with them that night. 

The B & B consists of 2 bedrooms, a common guest area with TV, a common guest patio area with firepit and hottub and a covered deck for breakfast. 

The queen bedroom has a bathroom attached to it whereas the king bedroom has use of a bathroom just outside their door (with a shower that is shared by both rooms). The king bedroom which we chose overlooked the backyard/shed area and was dead quiet for our sleep. It was perfect and a very comfy bed with plenty of pillows. The shared living room had a flat screen tv with plenty of channels to choose from and the wifi in the whole house was plenty strong. 

The next morning we had breakfast outside on the covered deck. The hosts asked if they could eat with us which was very nice to have company and hear their stories about wineries in the area and Oliver. Both are very engaging and friendly people and the breakfast was delicious. 

Should also point out that the house has a big, friendly bloodhound which they don't allow to interact with guests unless the guests say it is fine (which we were more than happy to make known!).

Wonderful hosts at a nice spot in Oliver

Vintage Merlot B&B is a bright, clean, well run B&B. The house is beautifully decorated and the outside areas set up for sun or shade options. Debbie and Walter are the perfect hosts, combining great food with extensive knowledge of Oliver and surrounding area. If you are looking for things to do Walter can help you. Plus Walters  knowledge of the area wineries is top notch. 
The B&B is dog friendly with Bella the Bloodhound being the perfect ambassador. Dogs are welcomed as enthusiastically as are their human partners. Debbie and Walter have an amazing understanding of dogs that helps make them feel comfortable in their temporary lodging.
I highly recommend Vintage Merlot to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

Welcoming B&B

We took our two dogs with us on a trip through BC so we needed a dog friendly place. We stayed at the Vintage Merlot B & B hosted by Walter and Debbie Colk. We knew the Colk’s from the time they lived in Prince George, so we were staying with familiar people. We had a very nice visit with both of them and of course their bloodhound Bella.
The accommodations were clean and comfortable and we had a very good breakfast before continuing on our way.

Very Friendly B & B

The hosts were very welcoming and gave good tips on wineries and a birding centre close by.  Walter was also able to give us suggestions as to where to eat in town.  We spoke on the phone when we booked and were told that each of their two rooms had their own bathroom and that the shower was shared.  Upon arrival, we were very surprised to learn that the shared shower was in "our bathroom."  It turned out that there was no conflict but we felt that information should have been shared up front.  A head's up for guests who have pet allergies that the hosts have a dog and guests are also welcome to have dogs in the common area.   Good location and the bed was comfortable.  It would have been nice to have a chair in the bedroom but there was no room for one.

A convenient overnight stop in Oliver

The customer service was examplinary.  The rooms were very clean, breakfast was amazing, and the owners made you feel like family.  Can not say enough about the service and would highly recommend to book in advance.

One of the Best

In a small b&b we were well received we have all the amenities we need very clean.and with a spa cest winner and he knows well are corner for vineyards and other.
