Long story short.

Was suppose to have our wedding at this venue. Greg was nothing but terrible to deal with (as he is very unprofessional) Kept our deposit both for the venue and those who had booked a room (was cancelled due to covid). Asked to replan the event for the same day just different numbers for attendance, to only get told that there would be major extra costs because due to covid. How?  I don't know.. Less staff needed for a 80% cut down wedding attendance. Didn't know hand sanitizer costs that much..... 
To then find out he was legally not allowed to be opened for that exact same day (that the wedding was originally planned for) because of safety codes being updated.
I've never dealt with such a terrible manager. It saddens me because this is a local venue that all around would love to keep in business and support. But when you are essentially scamming people out of money, it's truly hard to try... (not just a small amount either)

Very bad customer service!! Was booked for my granddaughters wedding in May 2020 had to cancel because of covid and the place was closed. My family all had to give deposits for our 2 day stay which came to over 1000.00, we were all told we would not get our deposits back even though it was not our fault, the place was closed and we could not have stayed there! He wouldn't even consider splitting the deposit and giving half back! By other reviews I've read looks like it's a dump anyway!

Very disappointing

Wow is all I can say -stairs falling apart and rotten  questionable deck supports and structure throughout the buildings. Exterior of buildings look terrible  signs of water penetration. This place needs an inspection badly. Had a event on main deck gazebo   searching for power outlets turn into a gong show. The building connected to the main deck looks condemned  mold on ceiling floor , the place is a shambles and somewhere in there is power lol. Out comes an extension cord after try this try that lol. The run down cabin with old trailer and blue tarp gazebo with huge brush pile by the road shanty villa is a nice touch amongst the approx. $180 per night rentals. This place is not afraid to charge though. Wedding couple was slapped with big gratuity tax on top of the bill for more insult. WOW .If your looking to spend top dollar on old musty smelling cabins that are in an early 1980's time bubble in the middle of know where then this is the place for you. I wont be back.

Run down delapitated place for Top $$$$$$

To the lease/owners please for your own health and safety have AHS test the water - heavy bacteria, sulphur smell to the water. Please have a cistern or something installed for drinking water to be processed. I didn’t stay in the hotel but came for a wedding - 2 hours to receive supper, ran out of food part way through supper. The main hall is so hot and without industrial fans you might just think your in hell coupled with the constant sulphur smell. Bathrooms where dirty and in disrepair. There is so much potential, my family owns a resort like property and it’s disappointing to  see little things like sweeping up of dead insects or repairing simple things to be safe is overlooked. Beautiful venue but so worn down. It doesn’t take that much to get a dumpster and empty out the trash from construction areas visible to the public. I love antiques but not like this. I can see why others say the Bates Motel or something out of a Horror Movie. So much potential too.

The water

With a  guest list of 200, the venue is large, spacious and yet cozy. The rustic interior adds to the country charm. Decorating with many light we found there was ample electrical outlets. With 24 guest tables there was ample room to move around. Our meal of Prime Rib & Yorkshire Pudding was a huge hit. It was done to perfection. It was so great some of the big eaters even got seconds! The manager, Greg was the most wonderful person to deal with. He had many suggestions and was very accommodating in our needs. We had many out of town guests so we stayed in their rooms. Although dated back to the 70's, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The addition of mini fridges or kitchens was wonderful. We had time to enjoy the outdoors and it gave a true country feeling. This venue worked great for us and we have made memories that will last a life time.

Awesome venue for a wedding. It can be an all inclusive, with accommodation and restaurant.W

Great place for large functions like weddings or reunion. Staff are friendly and helpful. Greg and Catherine are very helpful and go out of their way to help any way they can. The only downside is restaurant is not open more hours like for breakfast.Very large campground and clean rooms.

Pine Point Reunion

Great facility for large functions such as a reunion. Plenty of camping space, rooms to rent, etc. Staff was helpful  overall had a great time. My only recommendation would be solar lights along the paths between facilities cuz it was pretty dark waling to the cuddle cove from main building. Greg and staff are doing a great job

Our organization held a Strategic Advancement Forum at Lily Lake Resort in June of this year (2018) and the management and staff were very accommodating with changes in menu and corporate venue space.  It was rustic with all the creature comforts you would want.  I would only suggest bottled water as an upgrade to our stay.  It’s a lovely outdoor space, and some very interesting historical information about the area was shared.  

Here is what the rest of my staff had to say about the facility:

“The atmosphere was perfect; I loved being outside as there were many trails to explore, horses and mini horses, and many different birds to observe. The facility is lovely, the rooms are comfortable, and the grounds provide lots of space to set up games." 

“The staff at Lily Lake are fantastic and strive to ensure that the guests needs are met. The facility is set up for business functions and can accommodate a large group. The only thing that I had a time getting used to was the taste of the water, but this is not a deterrent in anyway. When I go back I will take my own water and if I forget, there is always bottled water available for purchase at the restaurant.”

“I really enjoyed Lily Lake – it was close to the city which made for a short drive (!), the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, and the Cuddle Inn and the Roundhouse were great for our purposes.  The only thing I would comment on was the food. Servings were very generous, but it was actually too much for me, especially because it was so hot. It felt very wasteful to leave so much food untouched. Some lighter and smaller choices would have been welcome. The meals often seemed more appropriate for fall or winter. I appreciated the buffet at breakfast because then I could choose what and how much. The kitchen was very accommodating to vegetarians.  I would happily go back for another staff workshop and would recommend it to other organizations.”

“I really enjoyed my stay at Lily Lake Resort.  I would go back again in a heartbeat.  I was trying to think of the upcoming events I have where I could go back.   The location is a “not-too long, beautiful trip” through the country side.  It is quiet and very serene.  The food was amazing and the service was even better.   The owner is very friendly and hands on, who also knows the history of the “Red Barn” and seems so happy and proud to be there.   Everyone was so friendly and helpful."

“The staff were very friendly and helpful (especially Greg). The food was satisfactory overall (personally I would have preferred to decide the “wellness” of my steak but understand may not be able to customize for a large group). The rooms were cozy and I appreciated having a fridge.  One recommendation would be to have window air-conditioners in the rooms.”

I would definitely go back and will check the website to be informed of any upcoming events, or even return for brunch. “The service was amazing. They all cared about hospitality, it was very evident. Food was very fresh.  I wonder if some golf carts to help people get around the property would be a good idea. Not everyone is able to walk that far, and driving can make things busy.  My bed was super comfy. The roundhouse was a good place to have our meeting, the patio was lovely. The bon fire was close to bathrooms, no outhouses required.  My walks along the lake were lovely; you have a beautiful location with so much potential.”

I would recommend Lily Lake to friends and business associates.  My staff enjoyed our team building event at this facility.

Corporate Event

We were so excited to come out there for a show and buffet and were extremely disappointed with the quality and taste of the food that was provided in this limited choice buffet. Salads were left out and were not chilled! Mashed Potatoes were burned to the pan and carrots were uncooked. Salmon was cold and a mess. Beef was extremely fatty, cold and tough. Cheese not chilled.There was nothing that would want us to come back again. This was unacceptable for the 80.00 price per person for each of us. The people we sat with also commented on how terrible the food was this evening. 
They couldn't even be bother to add a light to a pitch black hallway that leads to the venue. Very dangerous! 
On a positive note we enjoyed the show  of Gil Grant but would never ever eat anything at this place again! It's that bad!
