Victoria Hotel

The Victoria hotel is a conveniently located hotel in Garapan within walking distance to many places to eat, drink, and whatever else you may choose to do while visiting the beautiful island of Saipan. Round trip shuttle service is easily arranged through the very friendly front desk staff via telephone prior to arrival. This service is also available to take you to other locations around the island for a charge and his availability is 24-hours a day. My experience with the driver operating the shuttle was that he shows up within about 10 minutes of the time you request him and he's generally very friendly and happy to make recommendations as to what sites to see around the island. That service will run you $50 (USD) from the airport to the hotel and then back to the airport on the day of your departure. This fee is paid directly to the hotel and then the driver gets his cut. The front desk staff that I had the pleasure of working with were Katia (Russian) and Marie (Filipina). Between the charm and knowledge alone that these two beautiful ladies displayed, I would consider staying there again. The room didn't have a safe but did have a small fridge, decent internet, good air conditioning, and a comfy bed. Certainly a solid choice of a place to stay for those not requiring a 5-star hotel and traveling on a budget. Thank you Katia and Marie! See you next time I'm on Saipan...
