Wonderful little hotel - very friendly owners went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They are pet friendly.  We had everything we needed coffee maker, toaster, refrigerator, and microwave. Will definitely stay here again.

Great family hotel!!

We stayed at the Ryland Hotel in the Honeymoon Suite  for one night while exploring the Enchanted Circle during Fall.

Pros of the Hotel:
  - Pet friendly
  - Owners are very friendly
  - Comfortable mattress

Cons:
  - No closet available
  - space in bedroom extremely limited.  There were only about 4 to 6 inches on either side of the bed. Getting out of bed just about requires you to crawl to the foot end.  Suitcases cannot be stored in the bedroom.
  - no deadbolt in outside door
  - toaster oven was not clean, although I am sure the owners would have taken care of it if we had asked them to.

Overall the hotel is decent but shows it's age.  The pictures on the website seem to show the hotel as it looked about 6 or 7 years ago. Not the worst but definitely not the best hotel we ever stayed at.
  


Decent pet friendly Hotel

We really loved the help and friendliness that Mandy provided both before and during our stay. It set the tone for having a relaxing place to launch all our fun NM excursions and come back to. The front balcony was a natural gathering place for friends, and we met some really cool TX fellow travelers there as well.

Great Red River Classic Hotel

Great small hotel in the center of town, within walking distance to all the town shops and restaurants.

The room was cozy and very clean.

The couple that owns the property were fantastic, very engaging and super knowledgeable about the local area and activities to do and see.

Thank you for a wonderful stay, looking forward to a return trip soon.

The owners themselves went out of their way at check-in, making sure the room was just right. The room was awesome. The environment in the room was relaxing. And the price was excellent.

We’ll stay there again and recommend it to anyone who asks.

This is my second time staying at the Hotel Ryland and it was very good, my friends and I stayed in the Summit view penthouse and it was big but cozy the website pictures are accurate, the place was clean and the beds were comfortable, we really enjoyed being in town close to everything but the hotel is quite and peaceful.

Clean and Comfortable

We were taking part of the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway and ended up in Red River. There are many places to stay in Red River. A lot of them with a ski theme. We chose the Ryland since it was reasonably priced and nicely located.

The Hotel (which isn't really a hotel in the old time sense like we thought, but rather a motel with a few rooms on the second story) is a pleasant older property that's been well maintained. We upgraded to the Honeymoon Suite which cost a bit more, but with lots more space. On arriving, we were met by a nice young man who had been there two months. He was most accommodating.

The room was pleasant. Clean and well maintained. It had a living area with a couch, easy table, a high eating table and stools. Off to one side were a large refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and coffee bar (though they didn't have any decaf coffee). Down a short hallway is the bedroom with a queen bed, dresser and bed table (very soft bed).

There are lots of windows letting a lot of light during the day.

This is a pleasant little property. And we're glad we stayed here.

Nice Room; Friendly Help

I was greeted by an older gentleman and young man as soon as I parked my car. The young man even offered to carry my bag up to the second story room. I assume that it is a family operated hotel. The room was just as pictured with snow white quality linens on the bed. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony taking in the activity on main street and the breath taking mountain view beyond. Parking my larger suv was a little tight but not a down side at all. I love my coffee in the morning and I do think a little more attention to those courtesy offerings would have impressed me. All in all a nice safe friendly place to stay.

Quaint Overnight Stay

Hotel Ryland was a great place to stay for a mini
sabbatical of hiking in the mountains! The staff was
very accommodating and friendly. Getting into bed
every night literally made me smile, the bed was so
comfortable and the linens so soft and clean. I'll definitely be back!

Great little hotel!

We have always enjoyed our stays at Hotel Ryland. Short walk to everything we like to do.  Really enjoyed hanging out with a few great folks, the owners. Always such a pleasure to just visit with Carl, a Staple of the whole town.
