Excellent stay at this hotel it was fantastic people made us feel friendly. The place was very clean and we enjoyed it all. We will be coming again probably next year in the winter. 

It was a lovely trip and this place was the cherry on top of the cake

Brilliant

Pros:  the room was clean and the bed comfortable.  Check in was easy, there was plenty of parking. (Check in room was so weird: just a table and computer in a bare room -- perhaps they are remodeling? )
Cons:  The photos on this site and on the website are not accurate. There is no microwave and very little furniture in the room - no futon couch, no luggage rack, no extra pillows or blankets.  It was bare minimum.  The surprise was the "beside lights." Our room had two huge kitchen style flourescent lights above the beds, not lamps like you see in the pictures.  Who could read by those?  There is a bar-style table and bar stools under the window instead of a table and chairs.  The place is extremely funky.  The window air conditioners are noisy and if you open the window it's on a main street so there's lots of street noise.  There is no fan in the room.  The staircase up to the second floor is see through (I suppose for snow days) and hard to walk down. I would not stay here again; would choose the hotel downtown or the place across the road.

Low level place to stay

Imagine a Schitts Creek type motel (albeit two stories), complete with the ambivalent front desk and worn out look, and that's the Rustic Inn.  Almost every aspect of this property is bare bones, reflecting a minimum investment by the owners. Which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the average rate of $116 / day.   On the positive side, they did do a good job of clearing the parking lot of snow, and the location is very convenient.  

SCHITTS CREEK, IDAHO

We came into town for a quick weekend away with the kids. Booked 2 nights here and the rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The fire pit area with horseshoes was pretty cool as well.

Great Stay with the Family

This is your basic cabin-type room from the 1960s-1970s.  Beds were comfortable.  Bathroom shower/toilet area extremely tiny.   Bedding kinda shabby, like something you might have picked up at a garage sale.  No particular problems with the room, but be aware this is VERY basic.  Not worth $148 including tax, even in high season.  This is more like a $70/night room, if that.

Go back in time to the 1970s

Needed a simple overnight in McCall.  Clean and simple rooms.  Nice sturdy furniture. Nice theme (clean rustic). New carpet. Comfortable beds. Newer bath basics, but toilet a little older/a bit rocky on the older structure but no biggie. Plumbing fixtures due for a refresh from 1982...🤣
Was there with lots of snow so parking was interesting.  Lots of deer too.  
Older walls means gaggle of 50+ y/o ladies with their wine could be heard for a while, but they quieted by midnight I think.  
Would stay again. 

Simple clean room - great for price and over night

This motel is dead center in McCall. I always wanted to stay in that place since it reminded me of the motels of the 1980s.
My room was clean and had that 80s fake wood siding on the walls.
The sink was almost clogged and drained slowly and then leaked and water was running right to where i was standing. Nothing was done about this all week.
The in-room heater unit did not produce hot air coming out of the register and the fan only worked at one speed, no matter what settings I chose. At night i had to use the extra blanket as the heater just could not produce the desired comfort level. Nothing was done about this all week.
On the second day of my stay the internet wifi broke and I had no internet for the rest of the week. Thank goodness I did not need if for my training I had going during the week.
Overall I still like the place though.

Clean room, 80s feel

Stopped here on a cross country motorcycle trip. Staff was very Friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds were well above average for a place in this price range. Would have ranked it five stars for a hotel in this price range, but there were to few towels and no table top USB charging ports/outlets....most people are covered up with devices that need USB charging capabilities. Crawling around trying to find an outlet to plug a stand-alone charger into is a hassle. Fortunately, both these things(towels & charging ports) are cheap and very easy to remedy.....so maybe by the time we are on the return trip, they sort out these minor but important shortcomings.

Friendly Staff, Clean Rooms

Don’t let the rustic outside concern you.  Our room was clean with great A/C and looked like newer carpet.  The bed was very comfortable with several pillows.  I thought they were too hard but my husband thought they were great; everyone has their own thoughts on pillow comfort.  The futon wasn’t very comfortable to sit on.  Although the motel is just off the highway, we didn’t hear any traffic noise nor noise from other rooms.  We didn’t take advantage of their little fire pit out back.  My disappointment, was the lack of outside furniture (which was mentioned on our reservation paperwork) and the view of the mountains, which was almost non/existent.  It is conveniently located to most of the restaurants. 

Clean and Convenient Location 

Very comfortable clean rooms with fridge, large beds and helpful staff. The bathroom is a little dated but nothing that cannot be fixed with a few updates, it's clean and on the small size but again ok.

Situated just on the south side of town but within walking distance of the Pancake house which has excellent food.
