Walkabout Beach Resort

When we decided to venture out for a few days for the first time during this difficult year our choice was simple: It had to be the Walkabout, a boutique hotel without the hefty prices and our favorite location on Hollywood Beach, FL. We have stayed here several times over the years and we have never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly, professional and very accommodating. Thanks Jeannie for all you do to make sure that your guests have the most fabulous time ever! This time we stayed in #5, a one bedroom suite on the second floor with outrageously beautiful views of the beach and the Broadwalk from everywhere. CLEANLINESS. To say that the staff at the Walkabout has gone above and beyond in cleaning and sanitizing the units is an understatement. (Thanks Guillande!!!). They have removed anything where dust can settle and all the surfaces were spotless, shiny, clean and fresh-smelling. They follow all the required CDC guidance and more! COMFORT. The king size bed was more comfortable than ours. My husband could not believe how well he slept (which is a big deal considering that he paid an arm and a leg for a new memory foam mattress earlier this year that he swears by). He said this one was more comfortable. LOCATION: THE BEACH, DINING, SHOPPING, ETC. They say that in real estate is all about location, location, location and the Walkabout is on the right spot. It's situated right on the Braodwalk and literally steps away from the beach, where there is always plenty of room - unlike some of the properties further down. The water is crystal clear and the fine sand is clean and plentiful. You will not have any problem finding a favorite spot. to pitch your umbrella or tent. There are plenty of restaurants in the area offering outdoor seating and some also have indoor seating with limited capacity. Try the Bradwalk Restaurant a short walk away, which offers great Italian fare, good service and reasonable prices. If you are like me and enjoy shopping, there are plenty of stores of all kinds up and down the Broadwalk. I’m sure you are likely to find nice clothing, jewelry, or even a souvenir t-shirt or trinket. CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN & OUT. Both check-in and checkout were simple and contactless. You are going to have one of the best beach experiences ever!
