Went there to care for my sick college daughter.  Brought medicine and bath stuff.  The lobby was gross, no way I would eat breakfast there.  Lots of people milling around that look like they live there.  
The manager said he had just gotten the room ready for guests and reluctantly I paid, he gave me cash back for the discount from the college rate when I told him we were with them.  
Got to room and there was dust all over. Paint splattered on tub, a HOLE, yes a HOLE in bathroom ceiling, my grandgirl had to get a spider out of it.  
There was no plug for the tub so i went back to the desk and he told me to put a washcloth in it.  
There is no way this could pass inspection.  NO WAY...don't even consider it.

HORRIBLE!

We needed a place to stay the nights before and after a Nebraska home football game. Lincoln's hotel's prices were pretty high, and it was just my dad and I so I thought we could stay at a budget motel for cheap, even if it wasn't IN Lincoln. This was perfect. The room itself was clean. It had a fridge and microwave. HD Directv. It's right off highway 33, so it was easy to get to. The hotel manager was extremely nice, easy going, and helpful. We came up from Kansas and the roads leading in and out of Crete were nice kept up. 30 minutes to the stadium. It took us about an hour longer to get to the stadium when we stayed IN Lincoln the week before. Also, we ate at 9th street bar and grill the next day in downtown Crete. Awesome home grown beef. If you don't want to pay Lincoln prices, and you don't expect much, just a clean place to stay, this is it. There are a lot of other benefits like location and price that make up for any luxuries it might be missing.. Whatever problems it had in previous reviews must have been fixed between the times those people stayed and when we did. Highly recommended.

Inexpensive and close to Lincoln

We needed a room to stay in for 4 nites..we were visiting sister in milford, staff was very friendly, room was super clean..we had a hiccup with tv and with the toilet when we arrived but they took care of it immediately..we will go there again when we go to Crete.

Why did they rent us this room? At the time of our stay, the entire hotel was being painted and there was paper and tape all over the place ( and a guy yelled at us to move our car otherwise it would get paint spilled on it) there were old junk air conditioners stacked up outside some of the rooms, there was a young boy scattering lunchmeat allover the table in the reception area, and we couldn't tell if the proprietor was just a grouch or trying to be charmingly funny. In our room there was a noticeable hole in the wall (come on, this is a 10 minute fix), the bathroom tub calcium and rust stains in it, the broken and stained ceiling needed work, ugh. Sheets were clean, shade was broken. The breakfast area was a jumble of pile of unused equipment, we didn't even  go there.  Stripped the bedspread off the bed right away.  (Why do hotels still use dark patterned bedspreads?). I understand the place is being worked on, why didn't we get a room that was finished? It was like staying in a construction site. I hope this hotel gets the update done, until then, stay in Lincoln.
