Upon arrival....the place looks worse then in the photos on hotel sites.  The room we were given smelt and was over 80 degrees. The thermostat was broken and we couldn't open the windows for air due to the fact of the loud noise from the highway right next door ! The other people staying at the Inn were obviously doing drugs or lower end citizens. We figured that for the price it wouldn't be amazing but it would be atleast tolerable. It wasn't ! The room like I said stunk....the fridge had old rotten food in it....the shower was dirty...and the TV doesn't have any good channels such as discovery or food network ...or even the history channel.  Yet online it says the hotel has premium channels ! If you are on the first or second floor you will have a bad night...you can here people walking right above you...good luck sleeping !

The wifi was also worthless and slow. 

I've stayed at cheaper hotels and bad looking hotels...but nothing is comparable to this place.

It is an absolute disgrace to have something this pathetic in a beautiful state or even location.

Should be demolished.  The owner should be ashamed.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

Not a great place, not a horrible place.  Very dark, shower acceptable.  Bed decent.  I'm not picky, low maintenance.  A place to lay your head for a night.  The one thing that irritated me a lot was their choice of taxi!!  I told the driver where I needed to go and I felt he was trying to milk more money out of me by taking me the long way, not to mention he dropped me off at the wrong place.  What a joke!!  I had to run three blocks to the right place to get the bus to Denalli.  Imagine that!! I told him exactly where I needed to go, and he drops me at the wrong place, I think on purpose.  Parkwood Inn, PLEASE choose different taxis to take your guests!!!!

It was the most nastiest place I have ever seen.the bathroom was gross of gross. Furniture was old and trashy looks like they got it out of the dump.hair all in the bed linens,the bathroom.walls where filthy. The floors where sticky and dirty and the reddish carpet was black.the entire room was filthy,nasty gross. I would not even let my dog get a room there. The housekeepers need to be shown how to clean. I would be ashamed of this place if I was the owner. Straight up nasty. The cockroach motel is cleaner. The smell was horrible rotten fish has nothing on this hotel.

Dump wood inn

It was not our intent to stay in Anchorage but something changed our camping plans and we ended up looking for a motel relatively late at night. Just about everything was booked up so we were directed to check Parkwood Inn. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful.  Our room was big and comfortable and had a full kitchen. There was laundry machines in the basement but most of them did not work.  Our room did not have an air conditioning so we would have to open the patio door for a few minutes to let cool air in and when the traffic noise would get to be too much, we would close it and get warm again! This is an OK motel but it definitely could use a little work to bring it up to more modern standards. For what it was, i think the price was a bit too high.

Decent Place to Stay In Anchorage

This Hotel is very comfortable and quiet. close to shopping place. Very Nice people that work there. The front desk made me feel like i was at home. It feels good to stay in a hotel with nice people and Quiet nights. Thank you nice people. love this Hotel. Ill be coming there every time i come to town.

PERFECT LEISURE

The room was large and clean, although it was a little worn out. The supposedly fully equipped kitchen had no pots and pans, no microwave, toaster, or rather, you couldn't cook anything. All the shelves were removed from the cupboards, which were also dirty. The staff told my wife that no matter if it was clean or dirty in the cupboards, you couldn't reinstall it anyway. Logical, or the windows couldn't be opened, there were no furniture on the balcony. None of the pre-programmed buttons on the phone worked, but you could pay. You could only get in there via the phone. We were there for two days and the one room wasn't cleaned. The other rooms were just taken in the right price, but if the two rooms were fresh, we probably wouldn't get a cheaper price, but if the two rooms were cleaner, we wouldn't get a better price, but then the campsite would probably be cleaner, but if we didn't get a cheaper price, we wouldn't get a cheaper price, but then we wouldn't get a cheaper price, but

The customer service at this hotel was just awful. The condition of the building was also not ordered to the best. I don't know how or where they could have renovated something, you couldn't tell at all. It's true, the hotel has changed ownership. But the attitude of the owners and staff showed me that you have no sensitivity to my situation or respect for me as a human being. All these people want is quick money.
